Welcome to the user manual for your ATK Z87 PRO Custom Tri Mode Esports Mechanical Keyboard. Setup

1. Connecting the Keyboard

The ATK Z87 PRO supports three connection modes: Wired, 2.4G Wireless, and Bluetooth 5.0.

  • Wired Mode: Connect the provided USB data connection line to the keyboard and your computer. The keyboard will be automatically recognized.
  • 2.4G Wireless Mode: Plug the 2.4G USB receiver (usually found in a compartment on the keyboard) into your computer's USB port. Switch the keyboard to 2.4G mode using the switch on the keyboard.
  • Bluetooth Mode: Switch the keyboard to Bluetooth mode. On your device (computer, laptop), search for Bluetooth devices and select "ATK Z87 PRO" to pair. Refer to your device's operating system for specific Bluetooth pairing instructions.

2. Software Installation (ATK HUB)

For full customization of lighting effects, keyboard performance, sensitivity, and other parameters, download and install the ATK HUB software.

  • Driver Download: Visit ATK.PRO to download the latest ATK HUB software.
  • Installation: Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.

Operation

1. Switching Connection Modes

Use the physical switch located on the keyboard to toggle between Wired, 2.4G Wireless, and Bluetooth modes.

2. RGB Lighting Control

The ATK Z87 PRO features 16 million color ARGB lighting with electric competition-grade lamp beads and an independent lamp control chip for reduced delay and vibrant effects.

  • Onboard Controls: Use specific key combinations (refer to the included Usage Guide) to cycle through preset lighting effects and adjust brightness.
  • Software Customization: For advanced customization, including per-key lighting, dynamic effects, and color schemes, use the ATK HUB software.

3. PVD Light Bar

The keyboard includes a PVD decorative light bar that enhances the aesthetic with exquisite design and multi-functionality, changing with the keyboard's light effects to increase atmosphere.

4. Keycap and Switch Types

The keyboard features MDA/Original Key Caps made from PBT material, designed to resist oil and fading. It also utilizes a five-sided sublimation process for personality PC transparent keycaps. Various shaft (switch) types are available, each offering a different feel and response:

  • Power Silver Shaft: Advance Linear Axis, low pressure grams, not tired after long use. Trigger stroke: 2.0±0.6mm, Total stroke: 3.6mm, Trigger pressure: 40±10gf.
  • Princess Axis: Linear Axis, sound HIFI, feel smooth. Trigger stroke: 2.0±0.5mm, Total stroke: 3.6mm, Trigger pressure: 40±10gf.
  • Aniya Axis: Advance Linear Axis, sound HIFI, bottoming out ahead of time. Trigger stroke: 2.0±0.2mm, Total stroke: 3.2±0.2mm, Trigger pressure: 42±5gf.
  • Blueberry Ice Cream Shaft: Linear Axis, Super HIFI, extended spring. Trigger stroke: 1.0±0.4mm, Total stroke: 3.5±0.3mm, Trigger pressure: 40±10gf.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Keyboard

  • Dust Removal: Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps.
  • Keycap Cleaning: Gently remove keycaps using the provided key-pulling device. Clean keycaps with a mild soap solution and a soft cloth, then dry thoroughly before reattaching.
  • Surface Cleaning: Wipe the keyboard's surface with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Avoid excessive moisture.

2. Keycap and Switch Replacement

The ATK Z87 PRO is designed for easy keycap and switch replacement. Use the provided key-pulling and shaft-pulling device for safe removal and installation.

  • Keycap Removal: Place the key-pulling tool over the keycap and pull upwards gently until the keycap detaches.
  • Switch Removal: For hot-swappable switches, use the shaft-pulling device to grip the switch and pull it straight up.
  • Installation: Align the new keycap or switch with the appropriate slot and press down firmly until it clicks into place.

Troubleshooting

  • Keyboard Not Responding:
    • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected in wired mode.
    • For wireless modes, check battery level and ensure the receiver is properly plugged in (2.4G) or Bluetooth is paired correctly.
    • Try restarting your computer.
  • Wireless Connectivity Issues:
    • Ensure the keyboard is within range of the receiver/device.
    • Check for interference from other wireless devices.
    • Re-pair the Bluetooth connection or re-plug the 2.4G receiver.
  • RGB Lighting Not Working/Incorrect:
    • Check onboard lighting controls (key combinations).
    • Ensure ATK HUB software is installed and updated.
    • Verify settings within the ATK HUB software.
  • Keys Not Registering:
    • Remove the keycap and inspect the switch for any obstructions.
    • If hot-swappable, try reseating the switch or replacing it with a spare.
