Display Layout and Dimensions

The main unit features a large LCD display showing indoor and outdoor conditions, time, date, and weather forecast icons. The remote sensors are compact and designed for outdoor placement.
4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
Before initial use, install batteries in both the main unit and the remote sensors.
- Main Unit: Requires 3 x 1.5 V AA batteries (not included).
- Remote Sensors: Each sensor requires 2 x 1.5 V AA batteries (not included).
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the main unit and each remote sensor.
- Insert batteries according to the polarity markings (+ and -).
- Close the battery compartment covers securely.

4.2 Sensor Pairing and Placement
The main unit will automatically attempt to connect with the remote sensors after battery installation. Ensure sensors are within the 80m transmission range (in open area) of the main unit.
- Place remote sensors in desired outdoor locations, protected from direct sunlight and rain for accurate readings.
- You can label your sensors (1, 2, 3) for easy identification on the main unit's display.

4.3 Initial Settings (Time, Date, Units)
After power-up, the main unit will typically enter a setup mode or allow manual adjustments via buttons (usually 'MODE', 'SET', '+', '-').
- Time Format: Select 12-hour or 24-hour display.
- Temperature Units: Choose between Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F).
- Date and Weekday: Set the current date and day of the week.
4.4 Atomic Clock (RCC Function)
The weather station features an Atomic Clock with automatic time correction via the DCF77 signal. Once powered on, it will attempt to receive this signal for accurate time updates.
- Ensure the main unit is placed in an area with good reception, away from electronic interference.
- A DCF icon on the display indicates successful signal reception.
- Manual time setting is possible if automatic synchronization is not desired or available.

5. Operation
5.1 Weather Forecast
The weather station provides a 12-24 hour forecast based on changes in atmospheric pressure and temperature. Icons on the display will indicate the predicted weather conditions (e.g., sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, rainy).

5.2 Temperature and Humidity Monitoring
The main unit displays indoor temperature and humidity, along with readings from up to three outdoor remote sensors. Trend indicators show whether temperature and humidity are rising, falling, or stable.
- Press the 'CHANNEL' button (if available) to cycle through the outdoor sensor readings or activate the auto-scrolling function.
5.3 Max/Min Records
The weather station automatically records the maximum and minimum temperature and humidity values over a 24-hour period. Press the 'MAX/MIN' button to view these records.
5.4 Alarm and Snooze Function
Set up to two independent alarms. When an alarm sounds, press the 'SNOOZE' button to temporarily silence it, typically for 5-10 minutes, before it sounds again.

5.5 Alert Functions
Configure alerts for outdoor temperature:
- High/Low Alert: Set specific temperature thresholds for outdoor channels. The unit will alert you if the temperature goes above or below these limits.
- Frost Alert: An icon or alarm will activate when the outdoor temperature approaches freezing point.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the main unit and sensors with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Ensure to replace all batteries in a set (main unit or sensor) at the same time for optimal performance.
- Placement: For best results, ensure remote sensors are placed in a shaded, dry location outdoors, away from direct sunlight and precipitation, and within the specified transmission range.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No display on main unit | Batteries are dead or incorrectly inserted. | Check battery polarity and replace with fresh batteries. |
| Outdoor sensor not connecting | Sensor out of range, low battery, or interference. | Move sensor closer to main unit, replace sensor batteries, or relocate away from electronic devices. Re-pair if necessary (refer to manual for specific re-pairing steps). |
| Incorrect time display | DCF signal not received or manual time not set. | Ensure main unit is in an area with good signal reception. Manually set the time if atomic clock synchronization fails. |
| Inaccurate temperature/humidity | Sensor exposed to direct sunlight/rain or near heat sources. | Relocate sensors to a shaded, well-ventilated area, protected from direct weather elements. |

9. User Tips
- For optimal accuracy, allow the main unit and remote sensors to stabilize for at least 30 minutes after initial setup before comparing readings.
- When placing outdoor sensors, consider locations that are representative of the general outdoor conditions, avoiding direct sunlight, heat sources, or areas prone to extreme moisture.
- If you experience issues with DCF signal reception, try moving the main unit to a different window or location, especially one facing west, and ensure it's not near other electronics that might cause interference.
- Regularly check battery levels, especially in outdoor sensors, as cold weather can reduce battery life.
