4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning Your Device
To clean your Oukitel WP62, use a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or compressed air, as these can damage the device's seals and finish.
4.2 Software Updates
Regularly check for and install software updates to ensure your device has the latest features, security patches, and performance improvements. Go to Settings > System > System update to check for available updates.
4.3 Battery Care
- Avoid exposing the phone to extreme temperatures (very hot or very cold).
- Use only the original Oukitel charger and cable for optimal charging performance and battery longevity.
- Do not fully discharge the battery frequently; try to keep it above 20%.
4.4 Ruggedness Care
While the WP62 is designed to be rugged (IP68, IP69K, MIL-STD-810H), proper care is still essential:
- Ensure all port covers (USB-C, SIM tray) are securely closed before exposing the phone to water or dust.
- Avoid intentional drops from excessive heights or onto extremely hard surfaces, as these can still cause damage.
- Rinse the phone with fresh water after exposure to saltwater or other corrosive liquids, then dry thoroughly.

5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Common Issues and Solutions
- Phone not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the charger and wait a few minutes before attempting to power on again.
- Apps crashing or freezing: Close background apps. Clear the cache of the problematic app (Settings > Apps > [App Name] > Storage > Clear cache). If the issue persists, reinstall the app.
- Poor network signal: Check if your SIM card is properly inserted. Try restarting the phone. If the issue continues, contact your network provider.
- Battery draining quickly: Reduce screen brightness, disable unnecessary features like GPS or Bluetooth when not in use, and identify power-hungry apps in battery settings.
- Touchscreen unresponsive: Restart the phone. If the issue persists, a factory reset might be necessary (back up your data first).
- Water/Dust damage concerns: If the phone was exposed to liquids with port covers open, power it off immediately and allow it to dry completely before attempting to power it on. Do not charge a wet phone.
