Thank you for choosing the feyree Portable EV Charger. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your EV charger. Please read this manual thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.

The feyree Portable EV Charger is designed for convenient and intelligent charging of electric vehicles. It features a 4.3-inch HD touchscreen for intuitive control, WiFi APP connectivity for remote management, and comprehensive multi-protection safety features.

2. Safety Warnings and Precautions

2.1. WARNING!

  • Avoid immersing the AC charging connection device in water.
  • Do not step on, pull, bend, or knot the charging cable.
  • Do not insert foreign objects into any part of the Charging vehicle connector.
  • Refrain from dropping the control box or placing heavy objects on its surface.
  • Do not install or use the charger near flammable, explosive, harsh, or combustible materials, chemicals, or vapors.
  • Ensure the operating ambient temperature of the equipment remains within the range of -30 °C to +55 °C.
  • Do not use the charger when you, the vehicle, or the charger is exposed to severe rain.
  • Do not use the charger if it is defective, appears cracked, frayed, broken, otherwise damaged, or fails to operate.
  • Do not use this product if the enclosure or the EV connector is broken, cracked, open, or shows any other indication of damage.
  • Do not attempt to open, disassemble, repair, tamper with, or modify the charger.
  • This product is exclusively designed for electric vehicle charging purposes.
  • Avoid using external wires or adapters.
  • This product must be well-grounded when used.
  • Never insert your fingers into the charging plug.
  • The EV charger is not user serviceable. Contact tina@feyree.com for any repairs.
  • If the device fails to charge normally as per the operation manual, please contact the seller or consider a replacement.
  • Never allow children to play with the charger cable.
  • To avoid the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this device with an extension cord.
  • Using a worn or damaged AC outlet may cause burns or start a fire.
  • Risk of explosion. This equipment has arc or sparking parts that should not be exposed to flammable vapors.
  • Risk of electric shock. Do not remove the cover or attempt to open the enclosure of the charger unit. No user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel.

2.2. CAUTION! Please Note Before Start Charging

Precautions 1:

  • It is recommended that electrical outlets for your charger should be installed by a licensed and qualified electrician. To avoid serious injury or death; installation must comply with local codes.
  • This product must be grounded. If it should malfunction or break down, grounding provides a path of least resistance for electric current to help reduce the risk of electric shock.

Precautions 2:

  • Ensure the power plug and socket are compatible before initiating the charging process.
  • Do not charge if the socket is damaged, rusty, cracked, or has a loose connection. In case the socket is dirty or wet, please disconnect the power supply first. Wipe the charging plug with a dry and clean cloth to ensure it is dry and free from any debris.
  • Verify that the charging connector, cable, control box, and plug surface are in good condition without any scratches, rust, breaks, or damages.

5. Setup and App Installation

5.1. App Download and Device Pairing

The feyree Portable EV Charger supports WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity for smart control via a mobile application. Please follow these steps to install the app and pair your device:

  1. Download the "Smart Life" (recommended) or "Tuya Smart" APP from your mobile phone's app store.
  2. After downloading, open the app. Ensure your phone's WiFi and Bluetooth are enabled.
  3. In the app, select "Add Device" and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing process.

The app allows you to remotely set charging time, delay time, and current, as well as monitor charging history and analytics.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Control Box LCD Display

The 4.3-inch touchscreen display provides real-time charging data and allows for direct control of the charger. The screen will enter saver mode after 5 minutes of inactivity; touch the screen to wake it.

Key indicators on the display include:

  • CP 12V / feyree: Charger status and brand.
  • Network State: WiFi connection status.
  • Charging Duration / Delay Charging Countdown: Time elapsed or remaining.
  • Wallbox Temperature / Charging Plug Temperature: Real-time temperature monitoring.
  • Voltage Value (L1, L2, L3 for 11kW models): Input voltage.
  • Real-Time Current (L1, L2, L3 for 11kW models): Current being drawn.
  • Real-Time Power / Power Consumption: Instantaneous power and total energy consumed.
  • Set Current: Adjustable charging current.

6.2. One-Key Operation Instructions

When the charging plug is not inserted into the car, you can adjust settings directly on the touchscreen:

  1. Set Current: Touch "Set Current" to adjust the charging current. The range is determined by the charger's maximum power (3.5kW/11kW: 8A-16A adjustable; 7kW: 8A-32A adjustable).
  2. Set Delay Time: Touch "Set Delay Time" to set a delayed charging time, from 0 to 24 hours.
  3. Set Charge Time: Touch "Set Charge Time" to set the total charging duration, from 0 to 24 hours.

6.3. App Menu Navigation

The mobile app provides advanced control and monitoring features:

  • Charge Plan: Configure charging schedules, timed charging, and default plans.
    • Charging Plan: Adjust current, set delay time, set charge time.
    • Timed Charging: Set specific start and end times for charging.
    • Default Plan: Define default start and end times for charging.
  • Charge Log: View charging history and fault reports.
    • Run Log: Records charging logs for the past 12 months, including charging time, date, and capacity.
    • Fault Log: Records every charging fault report, including error cause, parameter value, and occurrence stage.
  • Settings: Access various device settings.
    • Basis Settings: Ground Check (PE detection), Leakage Check, Temperature Protection, Undervoltage Protection, Overvoltage Protection.
    • Net Settings: View WiFi status, connect/disconnect WiFi, bind/unbind device.
    • Time Settings: Automatically synchronize with the local network when connected.
    • Language: Select display language.
    • Factory Reset: Erase all stored information (use with caution).

6.4. Charging Steps

  1. Plug in the charging connector: Connect the charging plug to your EV. The charger will automatically start charging or wait for your configured delay/schedule.
  2. End Charging: There are several ways to end charging:
    • Plan A (Automatic): The charger will automatically stop charging when the car is fully charged. You can then directly unplug it.
    • Plan B (Power Switch): Turn off the power switch to end charging, then unplug the charger.
    • Plan C (Vehicle Control): Stop charging from the electric vehicle itself (usually via a stop charging button or switch in the car). Then unplug the charger plug.
    • Plan D (App Control): Click "Stop charging" on the app, and then pull out the charger plug.
    • Plan E (Charger Button): Press the button on the charger box to stop charging, then pull out the charger plug.

WARNING: Do not unplug during charging unless using one of the specified methods to stop charging first.

7. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your feyree Portable EV Charger, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Regularly inspect the charging cable, connectors, and control box for any signs of damage, wear, or corrosion.
  • Keep the charger clean and free from dust, dirt, and moisture. Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure the charger is stored in a dry, well-ventilated area when not in use, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Avoid bending or kinking the cable excessively, especially near the connectors.
  • The charger is IP66 rated for water and dust resistance, but avoid prolonged exposure to heavy rain or submersion in water.
  • The screen protector provided as a gift helps protect the touchscreen from scratches. Apply it carefully according to the instructions.

8. Troubleshooting

8.1. Control Box LCD Display Error Shows

The charger's display will show specific error messages for various faults:

8.2. Common Troubleshooting Table

  • Monitor Temperature: While the charger has automatic temperature adjustment, it's good practice to be aware of the charger and plug temperatures, especially during long charging sessions or in hot weather.
  • Regular App Updates: Keep the Smart Life app updated to ensure you have the latest features, security enhancements, and optimal performance for your charger. The charger itself also supports OTA updates.
  • Check Connections: Always ensure a firm and clean connection between the charger plug and your EV, and between the charger's power plug and the wall socket, to prevent charging interruptions or potential hazards.

10.3. Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

  • Any product damage resulting from failure to follow the recommended guidelines.
  • Damage caused by unauthorized disassembly of the machine or seeking maintenance from a non-designated service center.
  • Purchased non-original feyree products.
  • Any modifications or do-it-yourself alterations carried out without guidance from a licensed electrician.

The device has been evaluated to meet general RF exposure requirement.
