  • To remove: Press the release button on the battery pack and slide the battery out.

3. Attaching Drill Bits or Screwdriver Bits

The drill features a 3/8" (10mm) keyless chuck for easy bit changes.

  1. Ensure the drill is switched off and the forward/reverse switch is in the center (locked) position.
  2. Rotate the chuck counter-clockwise to open the jaws.
  3. Insert the desired drill bit or screwdriver bit into the chuck. Ensure it is inserted as far as possible for a secure grip.
  4. Rotate the chuck clockwise to tighten the jaws firmly around the bit.

4. Using the Flexible Drill Shaft

For reaching tight or awkward spaces, attach the flexible drill shaft to the chuck as you would a regular bit. Then, insert your desired screwdriver bit into the end of the flexible shaft.

Operating Instructions

1. Selecting Operating Mode (3-in-1 System)

Your drill offers three primary operating modes: Screwdriver, Drilling, and Impact Drilling. Rotate the collar behind the chuck to select the appropriate mode for your task.

Diagram showing Screw Driving Mode, Drilling Mode, and Impact Drilling Mode selection on the drill.

Figure 5: 3-in-1 System mode selection.

  • Screwdriver Mode: For driving and removing screws.
  • Drilling Mode: For drilling holes in wood, plastic, and soft metals.
  • Impact Drilling Mode: For drilling into harder materials like brick, cement, and harder metals, providing additional percussive action.

2. Adjusting Torque (25+3 Settings)

The torque adjustment ring allows you to set the desired amount of rotational force. There are 25 torque settings for precise control when driving screws, plus 3 dedicated drilling modes (indicated by drill bit icons). Use lower torque settings for smaller screws and softer materials to prevent overtightening or stripping. Use higher settings for larger screws and harder materials.

Diagram illustrating 25+3 torque settings and materials like wood, plastic, brick, metal, cement.

Figure 6: Torque settings for various materials.

3. Selecting Speed (2-Speed Gearbox)

The drill features a 2-speed gearbox, controlled by a switch on top of the tool.

Diagram showing two drills, one set to low speed (0-400RPM) for screw driving and one to high speed (0-1850RPM) for drilling.

Figure 7: 2-Speed Gearbox for optimal use.

  • Speed 1 (0-650 RPM): Low speed, high torque. Ideal for screw driving, larger diameter drilling, and applications requiring more control.
  • Speed 2 (0-1850 RPM): High speed, lower torque. Ideal for fast drilling of smaller holes and general drilling tasks.

4. Forward/Reverse Switch

The forward/reverse switch is located above the trigger. Push it to the left for forward rotation (driving screws, drilling) and to the right for reverse rotation (removing screws, backing out bits). When the switch is in the center position, the trigger is locked, preventing accidental startup.

Diagram showing the Forward, Static (Locked), and Reverse positions of the switch.

Figure 8: Forward & Reverse Switch operation.

5. Built-in LED Light

The drill is equipped with a built-in LED light that illuminates the work area when the trigger is pressed, improving visibility in dimly lit conditions.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your tool.

  • Cleaning: After each use, wipe down the tool with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Keep ventilation openings clear of dust and debris.
  • Battery Care:
    • Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
    • Do not store batteries in a discharged state for extended periods. Charge them periodically if not in use.
    • Do not expose batteries to water or moisture.
  • Chuck Maintenance: Periodically clean the chuck jaws to ensure proper gripping of bits. Remove any dust or debris that may accumulate.
  • Accessory Storage: Store all bits, sockets, and adapters in the provided carry case to prevent loss and damage.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your drill, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Drill does not turn on.Battery not charged or not properly installed. Forward/reverse switch in locked position.Ensure battery is fully charged and securely installed. Move forward/reverse switch out of the center (locked) position.
Loss of power during operation.Battery charge is low. Overloading the tool.Recharge the battery. Reduce pressure on the tool or use a lower speed/higher torque setting for demanding tasks.
Bit slips in chuck.Chuck not tightened sufficiently. Bit shank is dirty or damaged.Retighten the chuck firmly. Clean or replace the bit.
Excessive vibration or noise.Damaged or bent bit. Loose components.Replace the bit. Check for any loose parts and tighten if possible. If problem persists, discontinue use and contact support.

User Tips

  • For delicate tasks or soft materials, always start with a lower torque setting and gradually increase if needed to avoid damaging the workpiece or stripping screw heads.
  • When drilling, apply steady, even pressure. Let the drill do the work.
  • Use the appropriate drill bit for the material you are working with. For example, wood bits for wood, masonry bits for brick/concrete, and HSS bits for metal.
  • The flexible drill shaft is excellent for reaching screws in tight corners or behind obstacles, but it's best used with lower speeds and torque for better control.
  • Keep spare batteries charged if you anticipate long working sessions to avoid interruptions.
