2. Safety Warnings

Failure to follow these safety warnings may result in fire, explosion, serious injury, or death.

  • This product is for outdoor use only or in well-ventilated environments. STRICTLY PROHIBITED for use inside tents, cars, rooms, or any other enclosed spaces.
  • Avoid using in direct hot sun or other high-temperature environments.
  • Immediately cease use if any gas leakage is detected (e.g., onion-like smell).
  • Do not modify the product. Its structure is precise, and unauthorized modifications can lead to danger.
  • Never disassemble or install the gas tank near an open flame or when the stove is still hot. Ensure the stove is completely extinguished and cooled.
  • Keep the stove and gas tank away from flammable and explosive materials during use and storage.
  • During ignition, do not place your head, hands, or any other body parts directly above the stove to prevent burns.
  • The metal parts of the furnace head become extremely hot during use and for at least 5 minutes after being turned off. Do not touch these parts until they have completely cooled.
  • Gas tanks should not be refilled. Repeated refilling may lead to accidents.
  • Children under 12 years of age should not use this product unsupervised.

3. Product Overview and Features

The BRS-TS20 Reactor Head is an advanced outdoor cooking and heating solution. Its key features include:

  • Integrated Reactor Design: Utilizes infrared combustion for efficient heating, saving wind and air, and achieving high thermal efficiency.
  • High Thermal Efficiency: Up to 70% thermal efficiency, capable of boiling 1 liter of water in approximately 3 minutes with a gas consumption of about 79g/h.
  • High Altitude Performance: Professionally tested and proven effective at altitudes up to 4,860 meters.
  • Infrared Heating: Features special heating metal wool that can reach temperatures of 800°C, converting heat completely to infrared radiant heat, allowing it to be used as a flameless heater.
  • Condenser Ring Heat Collection System: An energy gathering ring with a wraparound enclosed design efficiently traps internal heat, providing efficient wind protection and potentially halving fuel consumption while doubling speed.
  • Versatile Cookware Compatibility: Includes a stove head support compatible with a wide range of cookware such as kettles and frying pans.
  • Durable Construction: The pot body (if using compatible BRS pots) is made of hard alumina, offering wear-resistance, high-temperature resistance, corrosion-resistance, non-stick properties, and ease of cleaning. Features anti-scalding folding handles.
  • Compact and Portable: Designed for nested storage, making it easy to carry.

5. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to properly set up your BRS-TS20 Reactor Head:

  1. Take out the Valve Switch: Locate and prepare the valve switch for connection.
  2. Install the Gas Tank:
    1. Ensure the valve on the stove head is in the fully closed position by turning it clockwise.
    2. Connect the valve body of the stove head to the gas tank and tighten it securely.
  3. Pre-Ignition Check: Before attempting to ignite, carefully check for any gas leakage. If you detect an odor (e.g., onion-like smell), immediately stop and re-check all connections. Do not proceed with ignition if a leak is suspected.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Ignition

  1. Open Valve: Slowly turn the valve switch counterclockwise to open the gas flow. Do not open it too wide initially.
  2. Light the Furnace Head: Use an external fire source (e.g., lighter, match) to ignite the furnace head.

Important Tip for Ignition:

  • If using a new gas tank or in a high-pressure environment, the flame might initially float above the net, and the metal sponge body may not glow red. If this occurs:
    1. Turn down the valve slightly and wait 1-3 minutes for the flame to settle and burn into the net.
    2. Alternatively, reduce the gas amount for ignition directly within the network.

6.2. Closing the Stove

  1. Turn Off Valve: Turn the valve clockwise until it is fully closed, extinguishing the flame.
  2. Cool Down: Allow the stove to cool completely for at least 5 minutes. The metal parts will be extremely hot.
  3. Disassemble: Once cooled, carefully unscrew the stove head from the gas tank.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleanliness: Keep the stove dry and clean to prevent corrosion.
  • Discoloration: It is normal for the furnace surface to discolor during use. This does not affect performance.
  • O-Ring Inspection: Before each use, inspect the O-seal rubber ring at the connection point between the valve body and the gas tank. Ensure it is present and in good condition. Replace if damaged.
  • Clear Connections: Keep the connection area between the valve body and the gas tank clean and free of debris to avoid blocking the gas airway.
  • Storage: Always separate the stove head from the gas tank before storing. Store in a dry, safe place.

8. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Flame floats above net, metal sponge does not glow red.New gas tank or high-pressure environment.1. Turn down the valve and wait 1-3 minutes for the flame to burn into the net.
2. Reduce the amount of gas for ignition in the network.
Gas leakage detected (e.g., onion smell).Loose connection or damaged O-ring.Immediately stop use. Re-tighten connections. Inspect and replace O-seal rubber ring if damaged.

9. User Tips

  • Always ensure your gas tank is securely attached and there are no leaks before attempting to ignite the stove.
  • When using the stove as a heater, ensure adequate ventilation even though it produces no visible flame, as gas combustion still consumes oxygen.
  • Consider carrying a spare O-ring for the gas tank connection, as these small parts can wear out or get lost.
