3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Connecting to Host Device

1. Locate the 'HOST' port on the side of the Hagibis USB4 Docking Station.
2. Use the provided full-featured USB4 cable to connect the 'HOST' port of the docking station to a Thunderbolt 4/5 or USB4 port on your computer.

3.2 Connecting External Displays

The docking station supports both HDMI and USB4 Downstream ports for video output.

• HDMI Port: Connect an HDMI cable from the docking station's HDMI 8K/60Hz port to your external monitor.
• USB4 Downstream Port: Connect a compatible USB-C to USB-C cable from the docking station's USB4 Downstream (20Gbps DP1.4) port to a USB-C monitor or portable screen.

Note:

• For 8K/60Hz resolution, both your display device and connecting cable must support 8K/60Hz.

3.3 Power Connection

The docking station features a PD 100W power delivery port. While the dock itself consumes approximately 20W of power, it can provide up to 80W (MAX) to the host computer. We recommend pairing it with a PD 100W charger (not included) for optimal performance and charging capabilities.

  • The total bandwidth is 40Gbps. If multiple high-bandwidth devices are connected simultaneously, performance may be affected.
• No Charging / Slow Charging:
  • Ensure a PD 100W power adapter is connected to the docking station's PD 100W port.
  • Verify that your host device supports USB-C Power Delivery.
  • The docking station provides up to 80W (MAX) to the host after its own 20W consumption. Ensure this is sufficient for your laptop's charging requirements.
• Docking Station Not Recognized:
  • Disconnect and reconnect the HOST cable.
  • Try connecting the docking station to a different Thunderbolt 4/5 or USB4 port on your computer.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Ensure your computer's drivers are up to date.
