2.5 Power Connections
Figure 5: The motherboard features a powerful 8-phase power supply with solid-state capacitors and 24 MOS, enhancing stability and durability.
- Connect the 24-pin ATX power connector from your power supply to the motherboard.
- Connect the 8-pin CPU power connector (EPS12V) from your power supply to the motherboard.
- Important: This motherboard requires a powerful power supply. Ensure your power supply is at least 500W from a reputable brand to ensure stable operation.
2.6 Peripheral Connections
- USB Ports: Connect front panel USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 headers to the corresponding pins on the motherboard. The rear I/O panel includes 4x USB 2.0 and 4x USB 3.0 ports.
- Network: Connect your Ethernet cable to the Gigabit network port. The motherboard also supports M.2 WiFi NGFF for wireless connectivity.
- Audio: Connect front panel audio headers. The rear I/O panel includes standard audio interfaces (MIC-IN, LINE OUT, LINE IN).
- Graphics Card: Install your graphics card into the PCI-E X16 slot.
2.7 TPM 2.0 Support
The JIESHUO X99 JS11 motherboard supports 14-pin TPM 2.0, allowing for enhanced security features if a compatible TPM module is installed.
2.8 Note on Battery
The CMOS battery (CR2032) is not included in the package and will be removed before shipment due to logistics restrictions. Please install a new CR2032 battery upon receipt for proper system time and BIOS settings retention.
3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Initial Power On
- Double-check all connections before powering on.
- Press the power button on your PC case.
- The system should boot and display the BIOS/UEFI screen or operating system.
3.2 Fault Indicator Light and One-Click Restart
Figure 6: The motherboard features a fault indicator light and a one-click restart button for quick diagnostics and convenience.
The motherboard is equipped with a fault indicator light (usually a two-digit display) that can help diagnose startup issues. If the device fails to start normally, the code displayed can indicate the area of hardware failure, assisting in quick troubleshooting. A dedicated one-click restart button is also provided for convenience.
3.3 Network Connectivity
Figure 7: The motherboard offers both a built-in Gigabit network card for wired connections and an M.2 WiFi NGFF interface for wireless connectivity.
Utilize the built-in Gigabit network card for high-speed wired internet access. For wireless connectivity, install a compatible M.2 WiFi NGFF module into the dedicated slot.
4. Maintenance
4.1 General Care
- Keep the motherboard and PC case free from dust by regularly cleaning with compressed air.
- Ensure adequate airflow within the PC case to prevent overheating.
- Avoid exposing the motherboard to extreme temperatures or humidity.
4.2 Heat Dissipation
Figure 8: The bright red alloy heat dissipation armor covers CPU power supply MOS tubes, providing effective cooling and enhancing processor stability.
The motherboard features a MOS metal heat sink designed to dissipate heat from the CPU power supply components. Ensure this area remains unobstructed for optimal cooling performance.
5. Troubleshooting
- System Fails to Boot: Check all power connections (24-pin ATX, 8-pin CPU). Verify CPU and RAM are correctly seated. Consult the fault indicator light for specific error codes.
- Incompatibility Issues: The motherboard may be incompatible with certain niche brands or ES/QS versions of CPUs, RAM, or M.2 SSDs. If you experience instability or non-detection of components, ensure they are from reputable brands and fully compatible with the X99 platform and LGA2011-3 socket.
- Insufficient Power: If the system experiences random shutdowns or instability under load, ensure your power supply meets the minimum 500W requirement and is functioning correctly.
- No Display: Ensure your graphics card is properly seated in the PCI-E X16 slot and connected to your monitor. If using integrated graphics (if available on your CPU/motherboard combination), ensure the monitor is connected to the correct port.
- No Internet Connection: Check Ethernet cable connection. If using WiFi, ensure the M.2 WiFi module is correctly installed and drivers are updated.
