3. Setup

3.1. Unpacking and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove the printer and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage. Ensure all components listed in the package contents are present.

3.2. Charging the Printer

Before first use, fully charge the printer using the provided power adapter. Connect the DC 5V/1A power supply to the printer's charging port. The indicator light will show charging status (Red light on during charging, Green light on when fully charged).

3.3. Loading Paper

The printer supports both roll paper and folded A4 thermal paper.

  1. Open Cover: Simultaneously press the open cover buttons located on both ends of the printer.
  2. Load Paper:
    • For Roll Paper: Place the thermal paper roll into the paper bin. Ensure the paper exit exposes the machine, and the thermal side of the paper faces the print head.
    • For Folded Paper: Insert the stack of folded A4 thermal paper from the external end of the machine.
  3. Close Cover: Press down firmly to close the cover until it clicks into place.

The printer features adjustable baffles in the paper bin to accommodate paper widths up to 218mm, ensuring precise positioning and preventing misalignment during printing.

3.4. Connecting to Devices

The printer supports both Bluetooth and USB connections.

  • Mobile Devices (iOS/Android):
    1. Turn on the printer.
    2. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device.
    3. Download the "EasyPrint" app from your device's app store.
    4. Open the EasyPrint app and search for the printer via Bluetooth to connect.
    5. Alternatively, short press the power button twice to print a QR code, then scan it with the EasyPrint app to connect.
  • Computers:
    1. Connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable.
    2. Download and install the printer driver from the official website: http://gzhztz.com/en/?Case/105.html.
    3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the driver installation.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Power Button and Indicator Lights

  • Power On/Off: Long press the power button for 2 seconds.
  • Print Device QR Code: Short press the power button twice to print a QR code for quick connection.
  • Stop Printing: Single click the power button during printing to stop the current job.

4.2. Printing Documents and Images

Once connected to your device, you can print various file types including Word, Excel, PDF, JPG, and TXT. Use the EasyPrint app for mobile devices or your computer's print function after driver installation.

4.3. Using the Built-in Cutter

The printer features a sharp, built-in cutter for neat and efficient paper tearing after printing, enhancing work efficiency.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Print Head Cleaning

To ensure optimal print quality and extend the lifespan of your print head, regular cleaning is recommended. Use a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to gently wipe the print head after turning off the printer.

5.2. General Cleaning

Wipe the exterior of the printer with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

5.3. Battery Care

6. Troubleshooting

Refer to the indicator light status and the following common issues for troubleshooting:

  • Printer not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. Long press the power button for 2 seconds.
  • No printing:
    • Check if the printer is connected via Bluetooth or USB.
    • Ensure paper is loaded correctly and the cover is closed (Red light on indicates cover open or paper out).
    • Verify the thermal side of the paper is facing the print head.
    • Check for overheating (Red light on). Allow the printer to cool down.
  • Poor print quality:
    • Clean the print head as described in the Maintenance section.
    • Ensure you are using high-quality A4 thermal paper.
  • Red light flashing: The battery is low. Connect the printer to a power source for charging.
  • Unable to connect via Bluetooth:
    • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both the printer and your device.
    • Restart the printer and your device.
    • Try re-pairing the devices through the EasyPrint app.

7. User Tips

  • Always use high-quality A4 thermal paper for best printing results and to prevent damage to the print head. The dedicated A4 thermal paper with positioning marks on the back helps prevent misalignment.
  • For mobile printing, ensure the "EasyPrint" app is updated to the latest version for optimal performance and compatibility.
  • When printing from a computer, ensure the correct printer driver is installed and updated.
  • Take advantage of the printer's portability by fully charging it before travel or extended use without access to power.
