1. Product Overview

The iSolution USB Tester C2 is a versatile charging power tester designed to measure current, voltage, and analyze fast charging protocols. It supports a wide range of protocols for both detection and triggering, making it an essential tool for evaluating USB-C power delivery systems.

2. Device Layout and Controls

Familiarize yourself with the physical components and controls of your C2 USB Tester:

  • Type-C IN: Connect to the power source (charger, power bank, etc.).
  • Type-C OUT: Connect to the device being charged or tested.
  • PC-USB In: Connect to a computer for data logging, firmware updates, or external power when monitoring low voltages.
  • Return Button: Used to go back to the previous menu or screen.
  • Left/Up Arrow Keys: Used for navigation and increasing values.
  • Confirm Button: Used to select options or confirm actions.
  • Right/Down Arrow Keys: Used for navigation and decreasing values.

3. Setup and Basic Operation

  1. Powering On: Connect the Type-C IN port of the tester to a USB-C power source. The device will power on automatically.
  2. Connecting a Device: Connect the Type-C OUT port of the tester to the device you wish to charge or test.
  3. Monitoring: The display will immediately show real-time voltage (U), current (A), and power (W) measurements. Depending on the model, it may also show PD version, temperature, and C1/C2 voltages.
  4. External Power Supply: If the monitoring voltage is less than 3.6V, connect the PC-USB port to a computer or a 5V USB power adapter for stable operation.

4.3 Menu Navigation

Use the Left/Up and Right/Down arrow keys to navigate through different measurement screens and settings. The Confirm button is used to enter sub-menus or select options, while the Return button takes you back.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and accuracy of your USB Tester C2:

  • Keep the device clean and free from dust and moisture.
  • Avoid dropping or subjecting the device to strong impacts.

  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device yourself, as this will void the warranty.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Device not powering on or display is dim: Ensure the monitoring voltage is above 3.6V. If not, connect the PC-USB port to an external 5V power source (e.g., a computer USB port or a standard USB charger) to provide sufficient power.
  • Inaccurate readings: Ensure all connections are secure and clean. Try using different cables and power sources to isolate the issue.
  • Fast charging protocol not detected/triggered: Verify that both the charger and the device being charged support the specific fast charging protocol. Some protocols require specific cables.

8. User Tips

  • For optimal performance and to avoid potential issues with low voltage monitoring, always connect the PC-USB port to an external power source if the input voltage is below 3.6V.
  • When testing different fast charging protocols, ensure you use high-quality, compatible cables to prevent data transfer or power delivery limitations.

9. Warranty and Support

Your iSolution USB Tester C2 comes with a 1-year warranty from the date of receipt. During this period, defective merchandise is eligible for a full refund or replacement.

9.1 Warranty Claims

To initiate a warranty claim or return, please contact our sales representative to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Products returned without a valid RMA number may not be processed.
