5. Installation

5.1 Mounting

The CONENTOOL ME86H thermostat is designed for installation in standard 86mm flush boxes or European 60mm flush boxes. Ensure the mounting location is free from drafts, direct sunlight, and other heat sources that could affect temperature readings.

5.2 Wiring Diagram

WARNING: Disconnect power at the circuit breaker before wiring. Incorrect wiring can cause damage to the thermostat, heating system, or personal injury. Consult a qualified electrician if you are unsure.

The thermostat is intended for 16A electric floor heating systems. Connect the live (L) and neutral (N) power supply wires, the load wires (L1, N1), and the NTC sensor cable as shown in the diagram below.

Wiring Terminals:

  • 1 (L1): Load Live
  • 2 (N1): Load Neutral
  • 3 (N): Power Supply Neutral
  • 4 (L): Power Supply Live
  • Sensor (1, 2): NTC Temperature Sensor (B=3950, R25°C=10k)

6. Operation

6.1 Thermostat Display and Buttons

Familiarize yourself with the thermostat's display and touch-sensitive buttons for manual control and programming.

Button Functions:

  • Power Key (Circle icon): Touch to turn the system On or Off.
  • Mode Key (Square icon with dots): Select between 'Period Control Mode' (programmed schedule) or 'Manual Mode'.
  • Up/Down Keys (Arrow icons): Adjust the temperature setting and navigate system parameters. Press and hold both Up and Down keys simultaneously for 5 seconds to activate/deactivate the Key Lock function.
  • Clock Key (Clock icon): Adjust the current time and day of the week.
  • Manual Mode: Allows you to set a desired temperature manually, overriding the programmed schedule.
  • Automatic Mode: The thermostat operates according to the set weekly program.

6.2 Weekly Programming

The thermostat supports 5+2, 6+1, or 7-day programmable modes, allowing you to set different temperatures for up to 6 periods each day. This feature helps optimize energy consumption.
