4. Setup
4.1 Regional Power Plug Information
Ensure you use the correct power plug for your region. The humidifier is designed for 100-240V input.
4.2 Placement
The Mars Hydro Humidifier offers versatile placement options:

Image: Examples of humidifier placement inside and outside a grow tent using the flexible hose.
- Inside the Grow Tent: Place the humidifier directly inside the grow tent to maximize plant growth potential by precisely controlling humidity within the enclosed space.
- Outside the Grow Tent: Use the provided flexible hoses to deliver mist into the grow tent from outside. This saves space inside the tent while still achieving optimal humidity.
4.3 Filling the Water Tank
The humidifier features an effortless top-fill design:
- Remove the top cover of the humidifier.
- Pour clean water directly into the 6-liter tank.
- Ensure the water level does not exceed the 'MAX' line.
- Replace the top cover securely.
The black opaque tank design helps prevent algae buildup by blocking light, ensuring clean moisture.
4.4 Connecting the MH-Sensor
Connect the 3m MH-Sensor to the designated port on the humidifier. This sensor monitors temperature and humidity in real-time, allowing for accurate climate adjustments.

4.5 Attaching Hoses and Nozzle
Attach the desired flexible telescopic hoses and the 2-way nozzle to the mist outlet on top of the humidifier. Adjust the hose length and direction to target specific areas or distribute mist throughout your grow space.
5. Operation
5.1 Power On/Off

5.3 Humidity Control
Set your desired humidity level using the 'HUMIDITY' button on the touchscreen or through the mobile application. The MH-Sensor will monitor the environment and the humidifier will automatically adjust its mist output to maintain the set humidity.
5.4 Timer Function
Utilize the 'TIMER' function on the control panel to set specific operating durations for the humidifier.

- Monitor real-time temperature and humidity.
- Adjust mist levels remotely.
- Set schedules and automation.
- Receive notifications.
5.6 Recommended Leaf VPD for Plants
For optimal plant growth, consider the following recommended Leaf VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) values. Use the humidifier and a ventilation system together to achieve the target VPD.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Refilling
The 6L tank provides up to 38 hours of continuous mist. Refill the tank when the water level is low. The humidifier features a low water alert system that provides screen and app notifications to ensure timely refills and continuous operation.

6.2 Cleaning
Regular cleaning is essential to prevent mineral buildup and maintain optimal performance. Use the provided cleaning and fixing kit for maintenance.
- Unplug the humidifier before cleaning.
- Empty any remaining water from the tank.
- Wipe down the interior of the tank and the mist outlet with a soft cloth.
- For stubborn mineral deposits, use a mild descaling solution (e.g., white vinegar diluted with water) and let it soak before scrubbing gently.
- Rinse all components thoroughly with clean water before reassembling.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No mist output | Low water level | Refill the water tank. |
| Power not connected | Ensure the power cord is securely plugged in. | |
| Mist outlet blocked | Check for obstructions in the mist outlet or hoses. | |
| Weak mist output | Mineral buildup on transducer | Clean the transducer and tank thoroughly. |
