The backflow preventer is designed for easy, plug-and-play installation. Follow these steps:

1. Measure the Drain Hole: Before installation, carefully measure the inner diameter of your floor drain hole. The installation caliber of this product is 33-39mm (1.3-1.54 inches).



2. Select Appropriate Core: Select the appropriate inner core (backflow preventer) according to the size of the hole. Ensure it fits snugly.
3. Insert into Drain: Gently insert the backflow preventer into the drain hole. It should slide in easily. Do not force it if it doesn't fit.



4. Installation in PVC Pipeline: If installing into a PVC pipeline, ensure the outer diameter of the pipe is approximately 40mm (as shown in Figure 6). The preventer is designed to fit within this range.

The backflow preventer operates automatically based on water flow and gravity.

• Drainage: When water flows into the drain, the gravity-activated flap opens, allowing water to pass through quickly and efficiently. The straight row design ensures rapid discharge.



• Backflow Prevention & Odor Sealing: When there is no water drainage, the flap automatically closes and seals, preventing backflow of water, odors, and pests (like insects and viruses) from rising up through the pipes.

• Cleaning: Use a soft cloth to gently clean the surface of the visible parts. Do not use abrasive materials or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish and material.

• Hair and Debris: The design features a large opening to minimize hair hanging and cleaning needs. However, if you notice reduced drainage, remove the preventer and clear any accumulated hair or debris from the drain and the device itself.
• Storage: If removed for any reason, keep the device in a dry and ventilated area. Avoid long-term exposure to moisture and water.
• General Care: Keep away from sharp objects, high temperatures, and corrosive liquids.

If you encounter issues with your backflow preventer, refer to the following common solutions:

• Reduced Drainage: If water is draining slowly, the most common cause is accumulated hair or debris. Remove the backflow preventer from the drain and thoroughly clean both the drain pipe and the device. Reinsert the preventer, ensuring it is seated correctly.
• Persistent Odors: If odors persist, ensure the backflow preventer is installed correctly and the sealing ring is intact and properly positioned. Check for any gaps around the device where odors might escape. If the issue continues, inspect the drain pipe for blockages or damage further down the line.
• Backflow Occurring: If water is backing up, remove the preventer and check the flap mechanism. Ensure it is not obstructed by debris, preventing it from closing fully. Clean the flap and its hinge area. If the flap is damaged, the unit may need replacement.
• Improper Fit: If the preventer does not fit securely or is too loose/tight, re-measure your drain's inner diameter. Ensure you have selected the correct size for your drain.
