Setup
1. Charging the Device
The NJTY L50P comes with a built-in 230mAh lithium battery. Before first use, or when the battery indicator on the screen shows low power, charge the device using the provided Type-C USB cable.
- Connect the Type-C end of the charging cable to the charging port on the device.
- Connect the USB-A end of the cable to a 5V1A USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
- The battery indicator on the screen will show charging status.
- Once fully charged, disconnect the cable. A full charge provides approximately 1500 measurements.

2. Powering On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the 'MEAS/on' button. The screen backlight will illuminate.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the 'MEAS/on' button again, or the device will automatically shut down after 60 seconds of inactivity. The laser will auto-off after 30 seconds of inactivity.
Operating Instructions
Button Function Description
- MEAS/on: Power on/Measurement button/Continuous measurement.
- FUNC: Function button (e.g., Area/Volume/Pythagorean/Unit switch).
- U: Unit switch.
- Trash Can Icon: Clear/Delete button.
- Folder Icon: Historical data/Page through historical records.
1. Basic Distance Measurement
- Power on the device by pressing 'MEAS/on'.
- Aim the laser point at the target.
- Press 'MEAS/on' again to take a measurement. The measured result will be displayed on the screen immediately.

2. Electronic Angle Level Function
The device features an electronic angle sensor that refreshes the angle in real-time, ensuring higher accuracy for leveling tasks.
- The current angle is displayed on the screen, updating as the device's orientation changes.
- This is useful for checking slopes, ensuring level surfaces, or setting angles for installations.

3. Multiple Measurement Modes
Press the 'FUNC' button to cycle through various measurement modes:
- Distance: Single point-to-point measurement.
- Continuous Measurement (Min/Max): Tracks the minimum and maximum distances as you move the device, useful for finding shortest/longest distances or diagonals.
- Area: Measures length and width to calculate area.
- Volume: Measures length, width, and height to calculate volume.
- Pythagorean Theorem (Indirect Measurement): Calculates inaccessible distances using two or three measurements (Pythagoras 1, 2, and 3 modes).

4. Data Storage
The device can store up to 50 sets of measurement data. Press the 'Folder' icon button to access and scroll through your stored measurements.
5. Unit Switching
Press the 'U' button to switch between different measurement units (e.g., meters, feet, inches).

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the device in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge it regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
- Laser Lens: Keep the laser lens clean and free from dust or debris to ensure accurate measurements.
Troubleshooting
- Device does not power on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the device to a power source using the Type-C cable and try again.
- Inaccurate measurements:
- Check if the laser lens is clean.
- Ensure the measurement reference point (front/rear) is correctly set for your application.
- Avoid measuring on highly reflective or transparent surfaces, which can interfere with laser accuracy.
- Ensure the device is stable during measurement.
- Laser not visible: The laser is Class 2 (<1mW) and may be difficult to see in bright sunlight. Try to shade the target area or use the device in lower light conditions.
- Battery drains quickly: Ensure the device is fully charged. If the issue persists, the battery may need replacement (contact support).
