5. Setup

5.1. Initial Charging

Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge your AP1000 Portable Power Station.

  • AC Charging: Connect the AC charging cable to the AC input port (7) on the power station and plug it into a wall outlet. The power station can reach 90% charge in approximately 1 hour with 1000W AC input.
  • Car Charging: Use the provided car charging cable to connect the power station to your vehicle's car outlet.

5.2. Solar Panel Connection

The SP200N Solar Panel can be used to recharge the AP1000. The power station features an MPPT charge controller for efficient solar input.

  1. Unfold the SP200N Solar Panel and position it in direct sunlight for optimal charging.
  2. Connect the solar charging cable to the solar panel input port (1) on the power station.
  3. Ensure a secure connection. The LCD display (13) will show the input power (2) from the solar panel.

The power station can be fully charged in approximately 2 hours with a 500W solar input. You can also combine AC and solar charging for even faster recharge times (e.g., 40 minutes for 0-100% with AC + Solar Panel).

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Powering On/Off

  • To turn on the power station, press and hold the Power button (14) for a few seconds until the LCD display (13) illuminates.
  • To turn off the power station, press and hold the Power button (14) again until the display turns off.

6.2. Connecting Devices

The AP1000 offers multiple output ports to power a wide range of devices:

  • AC Outlets (6): Press the AC button (3) to activate the AC outputs. Plug in your AC-powered devices (e.g., laptops, small appliances). The AP1000 provides 1600W continuous power with a 2600W surge capability.
  • USB-A Ports (12): Press the USB button (2) to activate the USB outputs. Connect your USB-powered devices (e.g., phones, tablets).
  • Type-C Outputs (4, 5): Press the USB button (2) to activate the Type-C outputs. Connect compatible devices for fast charging.
  • DC Outputs (10): Press the DC button (9) to activate the DC outputs. Connect 12V DC devices.
  • Car Charger Output (11): Press the DC button (9) to activate the car charger output. Ideal for powering car accessories.

The LCD display (13) will show the total output power (13) and individual icons for active outputs (AC, USB, DC, Type-C).

6.3. Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) Function

The AP1000 features a UPS function with a switching time of less than 10ms, providing instant backup power for critical devices during power outages.

To use the UPS function, connect the power station to a wall outlet via the AC input (7) and then connect your critical devices to the AC output (6) of the power station. In case of a power failure, the AP1000 will automatically switch to battery power without interruption.

  • Utilize UPS: For essential electronics like computers or medical devices, connect them to the power station's AC output while the power station is plugged into a wall outlet to benefit from the <10ms UPS functionality during power interruptions.
  • Combined Charging: To achieve the quickest recharge times, use both AC and solar charging simultaneously when available.
