5. Setup & Installation
5.1. Compatibility Check
Before installation, ensure your car meets the following requirements:
- Your car must have factory-wired CarPlay or wired Android Auto. If your car does not have either, this product will not work.
- This product does not support BMW car models.
- For wireless CarPlay, your iPhone must be iPhone 6 or above, running iOS 10.0 or above.
- For wireless Android Auto, your Android phone must be running Android 11.0 or above (for overseas versions of Android phones).

5.2. Physical Connection
- Connect the CarlinKit Android 15 Ultra device to your car's USB data port using the provided USB-A to USB-C or USB-C to USB-C data cable.
- For certain vehicles, if the main USB port does not provide sufficient power, connect the auxiliary dual USB power cable to a separate power supply (e.g., a car charger) as shown in the diagram.
- The device is plug-and-play. Once connected, it will power on and initiate the boot sequence.

5.3. SIM Card and Micro SD Card Insertion
The device supports dual-slot expansion for a 5G SIM card and a Micro SD card (up to 512GB).
- SIM Card: Insert a Nano SIM card into the SIM card slot for 5G full network support and real-time internet access.
- Micro SD Card: Insert a Micro SD card into the TF (Micro SD) card slot for additional storage.
Important Note:
- Ensure the SIM card is inserted with the metal side down and the notch end facing inward.
- Do not insert the SIM/TF card backward, as this will damage the product's card slot.
- Do not insert or remove the SIM/TF card when the product is turned on. The product must be turned off to safely remove and insert cards.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Switching Operating Modes (CarPlay/Android Auto)
The device supports dual-channel work, allowing you to switch between CarPlay (default) and Android Auto modes.
- In the original car system interface, click on the "CarPlay" or "Android Auto" icon on the screen.
- To switch between CarPlay and Android Auto modes, insert the Ejection Pin into the designated hole and press for about 2-3 seconds. The LED indicator on the bottom of the device will show a green light for CarPlay and a blue light for Android Auto.

6.2. Wireless CarPlay / Android Auto Connection
- After connecting the device to your car, click the "AutoKit" icon on the car's screen to enter the connection interface.
- On your iPhone or Android phone, turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
- Search for the Bluetooth name displayed on your car screen (e.g., "AutoKit TBox Ultra") in your phone's Bluetooth settings and click to pair.
- Once connected, wireless CarPlay or Android Auto will activate automatically.

6.3. Using the Android System and Apps
- From the main interface, you can access various pre-installed applications.
- To download more apps, click the "Play Store" icon. You can browse and install a wealth of games, movies, navigation apps, and more.
- The system supports split-screen multitasking, allowing you to use navigation and entertainment apps simultaneously.
- To return to the original car system, click the "Home" icon.

6.4. Media Playback
The CarlinKit Android 15 Ultra supports seamless playback of high-definition videos and music. You can play media from the Micro SD card or stream online content from apps like YouTube and Netflix.

7. Network Connection
The CarlinKit Android 15 Ultra offers two ways to connect to the internet:
- Via Hotspot: Turn on the personal hotspot on your mobile phone and connect the AI Box to it via Wi-Fi.
- Via 4G SIM Card: Insert a 4G/5G SIM card into the device's SIM card slot. The built-in 4G network module will provide direct internet access.

8. Software Updates (FOTA)
The CarlinKit Android 15 Ultra supports Firmware Over-The-Air (FOTA) updates to keep your system updated with the latest features and bug fixes.
- Click on the "FOTA App" on the interface.
- Click "CHECK VERSION" again to enter the upgrade interface.
- Click "OK" again to upgrade the version.

- Benefits of System Upgrade: System upgrades can enhance system stability, optimize operation, specify/solve hidden software problems or bugs.
- Procedure Step 1: Ensure the device is connected to a stable power supply. Do not perform any actions or operations on the device while upgrading.
- Procedure Step 2: Do not power off, unplug, or restart the device during the upgrade process.
- Procedure Step 3: The upgrade process may result in incomplete installation/system errors if the device fails to boot properly.
- After the upgrade, the device may automatically restart. It is normal for the system to take longer than usual during the first boot after an upgrade.
- If any issues persist after the upgrade, contact technical support or refer to the recovery instructions.

9. Troubleshooting (FAQ)
Q: What should I do if the SIM card is not recognized when inserted?
A: 1. Confirm whether the card insertion method is correct (SIM Card inserted with metal side down, and the notch end is facing inward).
2. Do not insert or remove the SIM card when the product is turned on. The product must be turned off to remove and insert the SIM card.
Q: The Netflix display needs to be updated.
A: When it appears that it needs to be updated, please click the "Cancel" button (Do not update or delete the software preloaded on the product).
Q: The SIM card insertion is recognized, but the internet connection does not work.
A: 1. Go to Settings > Network and Internet > APN, and manually adjust it.
2. Insert the SIM card into an Android phone and check the information parameters of the APN in the phone. Then, in the product settings, navigate to Network and Internet > APN > click the "+" sign in the right upper corner, and add APN parameters according to the parameters found in the mobile phone.
