6. Setup

  1. Unpack the Device: Carefully remove the BT911 tester and its accessories from the packaging.
  2. Inspect for Damage: Check the device and cables for any visible damage. If damaged, do not use and contact support.
  3. Connect to Battery: Connect the red clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the battery and the black clamp to the negative (-) terminal. Ensure a secure connection. The device will power on automatically.
  4. Initial Settings: The device will display the main menu. You may need to select the battery voltage (12V or 24V) and battery location (In-Vehicle or Out-of-Vehicle) for the first test.

7. Operating Instructions

7.1. Battery Test

  1. From the Main Menu, select 'Car' or 'Motorcycle' depending on your vehicle.
  2. Select the battery voltage (12V or 24V).
  3. Choose 'In-Vehicle' or 'Out-of-Vehicle' for the battery location.
  4. Select 'Battery Test'.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts: Check surface charge, turn lights on for about 10 seconds, then turn lights off.
  6. Select the battery type (e.g., Regular Flooded, AGM Flat Plate, GEL).
  7. Select the battery standard (e.g., CCA, IEC, EN, DIN, CA, BCI, SAE, JIS, MCA).
  8. Set the battery rating (e.g., 400A CCA). Use the arrow keys to adjust the value and 'OK' to confirm.
  9. The tester will display the results including SOH, SOC, R (internal resistance), CCA, STD (standard rating), and VOL (voltage).

7.2. Cranking Test

  1. From the Main Menu, select 'Car' or 'Motorcycle'.
  2. Select the battery voltage (12V or 24V).
  3. Choose 'In-Vehicle' or 'Out-of-Vehicle' for the battery location.
  4. Select 'Cranking Test'.
  5. The device will prompt you to turn off the engine before pressing OK.
  6. Then, it will prompt you to start the engine.
  7. The tester will monitor the cranking voltage and cranking time, displaying MAX and MIN voltage values and a 'Normal' or 'Abnormal' status.

7.3. Charging Test

  1. From the Main Menu, select 'Car' or 'Motorcycle'.
  2. Select the battery voltage (12V or 24V).
  3. Choose 'In-Vehicle' or 'Out-of-Vehicle' for the battery location.
  4. Select 'Charging Test'.
  5. The tester will analyze the alternator's charging system, displaying 'Load' voltage, 'No load' voltage, and 'Ripple' voltage, along with a 'Normal' or 'Abnormal' status.

7.4. Voltage Waveform Analyzer

  1. From the Main Menu, select 'Waveform'.
  2. The device will display a real-time graph of voltage changes. This helps in detecting battery problems by observing voltage fluctuations.
  3. Press 'OK' to save the waveform data or 'ESC' to exit without saving.

7.5. Data Review

  1. From the Main Menu, select 'Review'.
  2. You can choose to 'Review the last result' or 'Review waveform'.
  3. Navigate through saved data using the arrow keys.
  4. You can also 'Delete result' if needed.

7.6. Data Printing (Upload)

  1. From the Main Menu, select 'Print'.
  2. You can choose to 'Upload test results' or 'Upload waveform'.
  3. The device will guide you through the process of uploading data for printing or further analysis.
  4. You can also 'Delete result' from this menu.

7.7. Language Selection

  1. From the Main Menu, select 'Setup'.
  2. Choose 'Language'.
  3. Scroll through the list of 12 supported languages and select your preferred language.
