4. Setup Instructions
4.1. Hardware Installation (Optional)
The X8A Mini PC may come without RAM or storage, requiring user installation. Follow these steps if you need to install or upgrade components:
- Open the Chassis: Carefully remove the screws securing the bottom panel of the mini PC.
- Install RAM: Locate the two DDR4 SODIMM slots. Insert the RAM modules firmly into the slots until the clips on both sides snap into place.
- Install M.2 SSD: Locate the M.2 2280 slot. Insert the M.2 NVMe SSD at an angle and then gently push it down, securing it with the provided screw.
- Install 2.5" SATA SSD/HDD: Connect the SATA data and power cables to your 2.5" drive and the corresponding connectors on the motherboard. Secure the drive in the designated bay with screws.
- Install Mini-PCIE Module (e.g., WiFi/4G): Insert the module into the Mini-PCIE slot and secure it with a screw. Connect any necessary antenna cables.
- Close the Chassis: Replace the bottom panel and secure it with the screws.

4.2. Initial Connection
- Connect Display: Connect a monitor to the VGA port on the rear panel.
- Connect Peripherals: Connect a keyboard and mouse to the USB ports.
- Connect Network: Connect Ethernet cables to the desired 2.5G RJ45 LAN ports (ETH0-ETH3) or SFP+ modules to the 10G SFP+ ports (SFP0-SFP3).
- Connect Power: Connect the DC-12V power adapter to the DC-IN port on the rear panel, then plug the adapter into a power outlet.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Power On/Off
- Power On: Press the power button on the front panel. The PWR LED will illuminate.
- Power Off: Perform a graceful shutdown through your operating system. Alternatively, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to force a shutdown.
