2. Safety Guidelines

5. Setup Guide

5.1 Charging the Batteries

  1. Drone Battery: Connect the drone battery to the provided charging cable and a suitable USB power adapter (not included). The charging time is approximately 90 minutes. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use.
  2. Remote Control Battery: The remote control has a built-in 3.7V 1600mAH battery. Charge it using the provided USB cable.

5.2 Propeller Installation

If propellers are not pre-installed, attach them according to the markings (A and B) on the propellers and motor arms. Ensure they are securely fastened.

5.3 Remote Control Setup

  1. Power on the remote control.
  2. Power on the drone.
  3. The remote control and drone should automatically pair. If not, refer to the pairing instructions in the full manual (if available).
  4. The remote control features a 4.5-inch screen for direct viewing. You can also connect your smartphone for three-screen linkage via the app.

5.4 App Installation (Optional)

For advanced features and mobile viewing, download the official S-X1 MAX drone application from your smartphone's app store. Follow the in-app instructions for connection.

6.2 Basic Flight Operations

  1. Takeoff: Place the drone on a flat, open surface. Ensure GPS signal is acquired (if using GPS mode). Press the one-key takeoff button or use the throttle stick to ascend.
  2. Landing: Press the one-key landing button or slowly lower the throttle stick until the drone lands.
  3. Hover: The drone features optical flow positioning for stable hovering, especially indoors or at low altitudes. GPS positioning provides stable hover outdoors.

6.3 Advanced Flight Features

  • GPS Satellite Positioning: Provides precise positioning, stable hover, and multi-functional return flight capabilities.
  • Multi-functional Return Flight: Includes Low Power Return, Over Distance Return, Out of Control Return, and One-Click Return to Home.
  • Intelligent Follow: The drone can automatically follow a designated subject.
  • Surround Shooting: Program the drone to orbit a point of interest for cinematic shots.

6.4 Camera Operation

  • The drone is equipped with a 4K HD camera and a 3-axis mechanical self-stabilizing gimbal with EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) for smooth and clear footage.
  • Use the dedicated buttons on the remote control to take photos or start/stop video recording.
  • The camera offers 110° wide-angle shooting and 90° remote control adjustment.

6.5 Image Transmission

The S-X1 MAX features 5G dual antenna digital image transmission for stable video feed up to 5000m. It supports three-screen linkage, allowing simultaneous viewing on the remote control screen, a connected mobile device, and potentially another display via data cable.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the drone and remote control. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.
  • Propellers: Regularly inspect propellers for damage (cracks, bends). Replace damaged propellers immediately using the provided spare parts.
  • Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Do not overcharge or over-discharge. If not used for extended periods, charge them to about 50% capacity.
  • Storage: When not in use, fold the drone and store it in the provided storage bag to protect it from dust and damage.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Drone not powering on: Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted.
  • Remote control not connecting: Make sure both the drone and remote control are powered on and within range. Try restarting both devices.
  • Unstable flight: Perform gyroscope calibration as per the remote control guide. Ensure propellers are correctly installed and undamaged. Fly in calm weather conditions.
  • Poor image quality/transmission: Check for interference in the 5G signal. Ensure your mobile device (if used) is properly connected to the drone's Wi-Fi.
  • GPS issues: Ensure you are in an open area with a clear view of the sky for optimal GPS signal acquisition.

  • For beginners, start flying in a large, open field without obstacles to get accustomed to the controls.
