5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off
Slide the red ON/OFF switch to turn the device on or off.
5.2 Self-Leveling Mode
When the device is powered on and the pendulum is unlocked (switch in the 'ON' position), it will automatically enter self-leveling mode. The laser will self-level within ±3°. If the device is beyond this range, the laser beam will blink continuously at 2Hz to indicate it cannot self-level.
5.3 Manual/Tilt Mode
To activate Manual/Tilt mode, ensure the power switch is in the 'OFF' position (pendulum locked). Then, press and hold either the 'H' or 'V' button for approximately 3 seconds. In this mode, the laser tool can be placed at any angle for alignment. The laser beam will blink every 3-5 seconds to remind you that it is not self-leveling.
5.4 Laser Line Selection
Press the 'H' button to cycle through horizontal laser lines. Press the 'V' button to cycle through vertical laser lines. Each line can be selected individually.
5.5 Brightness Adjustment
Long-press the 'H' button to increase the brightness of the laser lines. Long-press the 'V' button to decrease the brightness of the laser lines.
5.6 Pulse Mode (Outdoor Mode)
For use in bright light conditions or outdoors, activate Pulse mode by pressing the button with the asterisk/sun icon for 3 seconds. In Pulse mode, the laser works with a receiver (not included) to extend the working range up to 30 meters.
5.7 Remote Control Operation
The included remote control allows for convenient switching of modes and lines without needing to touch the device.
- Press 'H/+' on the remote to switch horizontal lines or raise brightness.
- Press 'V/-' on the remote to switch vertical lines or lower brightness.
- Press '*/' on the remote to activate Manual mode or Outdoor mode.
5.8 Applications
The CONENTOOL MK16-G is suitable for a wide range of leveling and alignment requirements, including:
- Tile installation
- Wall decoration
- Cabinet installation
- Picture hanging

- General construction and renovation tasks
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the laser windows and the device body with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: When not in use, store the laser level in its storage bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the pendulum is locked (power switch in 'OFF' position) during storage and transport.
- Battery Care: Charge the batteries regularly, even if not in use, to maintain their lifespan. Avoid fully discharging the batteries for extended periods.
- Water and Dust: While the device is IP54 rated for water and dust resistance, avoid prolonged exposure to harsh conditions.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Laser lines are blinking rapidly (2Hz) in self-leveling mode. | The device is tilted beyond its self-leveling range (4°±1°). | Place the laser level on a more level surface or adjust its position until it is within the self-leveling range. |
| Laser lines are blinking every 3-5 seconds. | The device is in Manual/Tilt mode. | This is normal behavior for Manual/Tilt mode. If you need self-leveling, unlock the pendulum and ensure the device is within its self-leveling range. |
| Laser lines are dim or not visible outdoors/in bright light. | Not in Pulse mode or no laser receiver is being used. | Activate Pulse mode (long press asterisk/sun button) and use a compatible laser receiver (not included) for enhanced visibility and extended range. |
| Device does not power on. | Low battery or incorrect battery installation. | Check battery charge level and ensure batteries are correctly installed. Recharge if necessary. |
| Remote control not working. | Remote battery low or out of range. | Ensure the remote control is within 16 ft of the laser level. Replace the remote control battery if needed. |
