  1. Remove Barnuts: Locate and remove the barnuts securing the side cover.
  2. Remove Black Washer: Carefully remove the black washer.
  3. Lift Chain Above Sprocket: Lift the chain and position it above the drive sprocket.
  4. Install Bar & Chain into Groove: Place the guide bar onto the studs and fit the chain into the guide bar groove.
  5. Steer Adjuster Pin to Bar Hole: Ensure the chain tensioner pin aligns with the hole in the guide bar.
  6. Screw on the Nut to Secure: Re-attach the side cover and loosely screw on the barnuts.
  7. Tighten Saw Chain Clockwise: Adjust the chain tension screw clockwise until the chain is snug but can still be pulled freely by hand.
  8. Test Saw Chain: Verify proper chain tension. The chain should not sag on the underside of the bar, but should not be overly tight.
  9. Tighten Bar Nuts with Tools: Fully tighten the barnuts using the provided tools to secure the guide bar and side cover.

5.2 Fuel and Lubrication:

  • Fuel Mixture: This chainsaw uses a 2-stroke engine. Mix gasoline with 2-stroke engine oil at a ratio of 25:1. Use the provided oil can and funnel for accurate mixing and filling.
  • Fuel Tank: Fill the fuel tank (230ml capacity) with the prepared fuel mixture.
  • Lubricating Oil Tank: Fill the separate lubricating oil tank (160ml capacity) with appropriate chain lubricant. The chainsaw features an automatic lubrication system to ensure the chain and guide bar are continuously oiled during operation.

6. Operating Instructions

Before starting, ensure all safety precautions are observed and the chainsaw is properly assembled and fueled.

  1. Engage Chain Brake: Ensure the chain brake is engaged (pushed forward) before starting.
  2. Prime Fuel (if necessary): If the chainsaw has been stored or is new, press the primer bulb a few times until fuel is visible.
  3. Set Choke: Pull out the choke knob (if applicable) for cold starts.
  4. Press Boat Switch: Press the boat switch to the "ON" position.
  5. Pull Starter Cord: Pull the starter cord firmly and steadily until the engine briefly fires or "pops."
  6. Disengage Choke: Push the choke knob back in (half-choke or off, depending on model).
  7. Pull Starter Cord Again: Pull the starter cord again until the engine starts and runs.
  8. Warm Up: Allow the engine to warm up for a few moments before engaging the throttle.

6.2 General Operation:

    • For pruning branches, ensure stable footing and clear surroundings.
    • When cutting logs, secure the log to prevent rolling.
    • Always be aware of the direction of falling wood and potential kickback.
  • Automatic Lubrication: The chainsaw features an automatic lubrication system that continuously oils the chain and guide bar during operation, improving work efficiency and chain life.
  • Quality Silencer: The integrated quality silencer helps reduce operational noise.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and safe operation of your chainsaw.

  • Chain Sharpening: Regularly check the sharpness of the 65 manganese steel chain. Use the provided file to sharpen the chain as needed, following proper sharpening techniques. A sharp chain cuts efficiently and reduces strain on the engine.
  • Chain Tension: Periodically check and adjust chain tension. A properly tensioned chain should be snug against the guide bar but still allow you to pull it freely by hand.
  • Guide Bar Maintenance: Clean the guide bar groove and oil holes regularly. Flip the guide bar periodically to ensure even wear.
  • Air Filter: Clean the air filter after every few hours of operation, or more frequently in dusty conditions. A clogged air filter can reduce engine performance.
  • Spark Plug: Inspect and clean the spark plug periodically. Replace if worn or fouled.
  • Fuel and Oil Tanks: Empty fuel and oil tanks before long-term storage.
  • General Cleaning: Keep the chainsaw clean from sawdust, debris, and oil residue.

8. Troubleshooting

Here are some common issues and their potential solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Engine won't startNo fuel, incorrect choke setting, fouled spark plug, clogged fuel filter.Check fuel level and mixture. Adjust choke. Clean/replace spark plug. Check fuel filter.
Engine starts but stallsIncorrect fuel mixture, clogged air filter, carburetor issues.Verify fuel mixture. Clean air filter. Consult a service technician if carburetor issues persist.
Chain not moving or moving slowlyChain brake engaged, incorrect chain tension, dull chain, insufficient lubrication.Disengage chain brake. Adjust chain tension. Sharpen chain. Check lubricating oil level.
Excessive smoke from exhaustToo much oil in fuel mixture, incorrect oil type.Ensure correct 25:1 fuel/oil ratio. Use recommended 2-stroke oil.

If you encounter problems not listed here or if solutions do not resolve the issue, please contact customer support.

9. User Tips

  • Pre-mix Fuel: Always pre-mix your fuel and oil in a separate container before adding it to the chainsaw's fuel tank. This ensures a consistent and correct ratio.
  • Keep Chain Sharp: A sharp chain is safer and more efficient. Dull chains can cause kickback and make the saw work harder, leading to premature wear.
  • Proper Storage: When storing the chainsaw for extended periods, drain all fuel and chain oil. Run the engine until it stops from lack of fuel to clear the carburetor.
  • Regular Cleaning: After each use, clean sawdust and debris from the air filter, cooling fins, and around the chain and guide bar area.
