- For deeper cleaning, use the provided keycap puller to remove keycaps and clean underneath with compressed air or a small brush.
- Do not immerse the keyboard in water or use harsh chemicals.
6.2 Hot-Swappable Switches
The KG98 supports full-key hot-swapping, allowing you to easily change switches without soldering.
- Removing Keycaps: Use the keycap puller to gently pull up on the keycap you wish to remove.
- Removing Switches: Use the switch puller to grasp the top and bottom clips of the switch and pull it straight up.
- Installing Switches: Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB. Gently press the switch down until it clicks into place. Ensure the pins are not bent.
- Installing Keycaps: Place the keycap over the switch stem and press down firmly.
7. Troubleshooting
- Keyboard not responding: Check the connection mode (wired, 2.4G, Bluetooth) and ensure it matches your device. Recharge the battery if using wireless modes.
- 2.4G wireless not connecting: Ensure the 2.4G receiver is properly plugged in and the keyboard is in 2.4G mode. Try a different USB port.
- Bluetooth not pairing: Ensure the keyboard is in Bluetooth mode and discoverable. Remove previous pairings from your device and try pairing again.
- Keys not working: If individual keys are not working, try reseating the keycap and switch. If the issue persists, the switch may need replacement (utilize the hot-swap feature).
- RGB lighting not working: Check if the lighting is turned off or if the brightness is set to minimum. Cycle through lighting modes using the rotary knob.
