5. Installation

  1. Prepare the Windshield: Clean an area on your car's windshield where the Dash Cam will be installed. Ensure it has an unobstructed view of the road. This assists in proper adhesion.
  2. Attach the Bracket: Remove the protective film from the back of the bracket and firmly attach it to the cleaned area on the windshield.
  3. Route the Power Cable: Use the provided pry tool to lift the edges of the windshield molding and tuck in the 3.5m power cable. Connect the Dash Cam to the car charger (plugged into the cigarette lighter socket) using the power cable.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Memory Card Management

  • The Mini Pro 2K supports MicroSD cards up to 256GB.
  • For optimal performance, use a U3 Ultra high-speed MicroSD card (Class 10 or higher).
  • We recommend purchasing official DDPAI memory card packages. Known compatible brands include Lexar, Kingston, Samsung, and Toshiba.
  • Regularly format your memory card (via the app) to ensure stable recording and prevent data corruption.

7.2. General Care

  • Keep the dash cam lens clean for clear recordings. Use a soft, lint-free cloth.
  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures outside its operating range (-20℃ to 70℃). The built-in supercapacitor provides reliability in varying temperatures.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device yourself. Contact customer support for assistance.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Dash Cam not powering on: Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the dash cam and the car charger, and the car charger is properly inserted into the cigarette lighter socket. Check your car's fuse box if necessary.
  • Recording issues (e.g., freezing, corrupted files): Format the MicroSD card regularly through the DDPAI app. Ensure you are using a Class 10 U3 or higher speed memory card from a reputable brand.
  • Wi-Fi connection problems: Make sure your smartphone is within 2.5 meters of the dash cam. Restart both the dash cam and your phone, then try connecting again. Verify the Wi-Fi password is correct.
  • App not responding: Close and reopen the DDPAI app. If the issue persists, try reinstalling the app.
  • Voice control not working: Ensure you are speaking clearly and directly towards the dash cam. Remember that the "Take Photo" command only supports English.

9. User Tips

  • Optimal Placement: Install the dash cam high on the windshield, behind the rearview mirror, to minimize obstruction of your view and ensure a wide recording angle.
  • Regular Formatting: To maintain optimal recording performance and prevent potential data issues, format your MicroSD card at least once a month using the DDPAI app.
  • Parking Monitoring: For continuous 24/7 parking surveillance, remember to install the optional Intelligent Hardwire Kit. This ensures the dash cam receives power even when the vehicle is off.
  • Firmware Updates: Periodically check the DDPAI app for firmware updates. Keeping your dash cam's firmware up-to-date can improve performance, add new features, and fix bugs.
