- Data Hold / Max Data Button: Freezes the current reading or displays the maximum recorded value.
- Unit Switch / Flashlight Button: Changes measurement units and activates the flashlight.
- Mode Switch / Backlight Button: Switches between measurement modes (magnetic field, electric field, temperature) and controls the display backlight.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Power On/Off
Press the ON/OFF Button to turn the device on. Press and hold the ON/OFF Button again to turn it off.
5.2. Mode Selection
After powering on, the device will typically start in a default measurement mode. Press the Mode Switch button to cycle through the available measurement modes: Magnetic Field (H-Field), Electric Field (E-Field), and Ambient Temperature.
5.3. Unit Switching
While in a measurement mode, press the Unit Switch button to change the display units:
- Magnetic Field: mG (milligauss) or µT (micro Teslas)
- Electric Field: V/M (Volts per Meter)
- Ambient Temperature: ℃ (Celsius) or ℉ (Fahrenheit)
5.4. Data Hold and Max Data
Press the HOLD/MAX button once to activate the Data Hold function. The current reading will be frozen on the display, indicated by an 'H' icon. Press it again to exit Data Hold. Press and hold the HOLD/MAX button to display the maximum recorded value (MAX mode). Press again to exit MAX mode.
5.5. Buzzer Alarm
The device features an automatic buzzer alarm. When the detected radiation level exceeds the preset safe value (alarm threshold), the instrument will emit an audible alarm. You can toggle the buzzer sound on or off by pressing the Buzzer Switch (often integrated with the ON/OFF button or a separate button, refer to Figure 5).

5.6. Flashlight and Backlight
To activate the flashlight, press and hold the Unit Switch / Flashlight Button. Repeat to turn it off. To activate the display backlight, press and hold the Mode Switch / Backlight Button. Repeat to turn it off.

6. Maintenance
6.1. Cleaning
To ensure accurate readings and prolong the life of your device, clean it regularly. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or immerse the device in water.
6.2. Storage
When not in use for extended periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage. Store the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep it out of reach of children.
6.3. Battery Replacement
Replace the batteries when the low voltage prompt appears on the display (less than 6.8V). Follow the battery installation steps outlined in Section 4.1.
7. Troubleshooting
- Device does not power on:
a. Check if batteries are installed correctly with the right polarity.
b. Replace with fresh AAA batteries. - Inaccurate readings:
a. Ensure the device is held steadily and not near strong magnetic or electric sources that are not being measured.
b. Verify that the correct measurement mode and units are selected.
c. Ensure the ambient temperature is within the specified working range (0~40℃ / 32~104℉). - Low voltage prompt:
a. The device indicates low battery when voltage drops below 6.8V. Replace all three AAA batteries immediately. - Buzzer alarm not working:
a. Check if the buzzer function is enabled (refer to Section 5.5).
b. Ensure the radiation levels are above the alarm thresholds.

10. User Tips
- Optimal Placement: For best results when measuring ambient radiation, hold the meter away from your body and any large metal objects.
- Identify Sources: Move the meter slowly around an area or device to pinpoint the exact source of radiation. Readings will typically increase as you get closer to the source.
- Regular Checks: Periodically check areas with high electronic device concentration, such as offices or entertainment centers, to monitor radiation levels.
- Compare Readings: Take baseline readings in areas you consider 'safe' to have a reference point for comparison with potentially 'high-risk' areas.
- Battery Life: To conserve battery life, remember to turn off the flashlight and backlight when not needed, and power off the device completely after use.
