Keycap and Switch Replacement
The TH108 JIS keyboard supports hot-swappable switches, allowing you to easily change switches without soldering. Use the included 2-in-1 puller tool for this process.
For a detailed guide on how to remove and replace keycaps and switches, please refer to the online resource: EPOMAKER DIY Guide: How to Remove and Replace Mechanical Keyboard Switches
Tools Required:
- Keycap Puller (part of the 2-in-1 tool)
- Switch Puller (part of the 2-in-1 tool)
General Steps:
- Remove Keycaps: Use the keycap puller to gently pull up on the keycaps you wish to remove.
- Remove Switches: Use the switch puller to grasp the top and bottom clips of the switch. Apply gentle, even pressure and pull the switch straight up from the PCB.
- Install Switches: Ensure the new switch's pins are straight and align them with the holes on the PCB. Gently press the switch down until it clicks into place. Do not force it.
- Install Keycaps: Align the keycap with the switch stem and press down firmly.
Important Warnings:
- Before installing a new switch, ensure its pins are perfectly straight and clean. Bent pins can prevent the switch from working or damage the PCB socket.
- Do not use excessive force when removing or installing switches/keycaps. This can damage the switch, keycap, or keyboard PCB.
- If a switch pin bends during removal, carefully straighten it before re-inserting. If a pin breaks, the switch may be irreparable.

Troubleshooting
- Keyboard not connecting (Wired): Ensure the USB-C cable is fully inserted into both the keyboard and your computer. Try a different USB port or cable. Check if the connection switch is set to USB mode.
- Keyboard not connecting (2.4GHz Wireless): Ensure the 2.4G receiver is properly inserted into a USB port. Check if the connection switch is set to 2.4G mode. Re-initiate pairing by short pressing FN + R.
- Keyboard not connecting (Bluetooth): Ensure the connection switch is set to BT mode. Re-initiate pairing by long pressing FN + Q/W/E until the indicator flashes. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and try re-pairing.
- Keys not responding: If individual keys are not working, check if the switch pins are bent or damaged. Carefully remove the keycap and switch, inspect the pins, straighten them if necessary, and re-insert.
- Backlight not working or inconsistent: Check backlight brightness settings (FN + ↑/↓). Try switching backlight effects (FN + INS) or colors (FN + DEL). If the issue persists, perform a factory reset (FN + ESC).
- Battery not charging: Ensure the USB cable is connected to a computer's USB port. Avoid using wall chargers. If the battery indicator (FN + ENTER) shows no charge, try a different USB port or cable.
- Keyboard unresponsive after sleep: For wireless mode, press any key to wake the keyboard. If it doesn't reconnect, check the connection mode and re-pair if necessary.
User Tips
- Switch Customization: Take advantage of the hot-swappable PCB to experiment with different 3-pin or 5-pin mechanical switches. This allows you to fine-tune the typing feel and sound to your personal preference. Always ensure switch pins are straight before insertion to prevent damage.
- Software Customization: Utilize the dedicated web driver software for deep customization of key assignments, macro commands, and backlight effects. This can significantly enhance your workflow and gaming experience.
- Battery Management: To maximize battery life, consider turning off RGB backlighting when not needed, especially in wireless modes. Regularly check the battery level using FN + ENTER to avoid unexpected power loss.
