1. Safety Information and Warm Tips
Please read this manual carefully before using the voice recorder. Most problems can be avoided by following these instructions.
- Children Safety: Children are forbidden to play with the recorder alone. Do not allow the device to fall or collide with hard objects, as this may cause data loss or other hardware damage.

To set the time and recording parameters, you need to connect the device to a computer.
- Under the power-off state, plug one end of the USB cable into the device's USB port and the other end into your computer's USB port.
- After a few seconds, the computer will recognize the device, and a "W1" logo will pop up.
- Double-click to open "W1", then locate and double-click "MRECSET.txt" to open the settings file.
- The "MRECSET.txt" file will display various settings. An example is shown below:
TIME:22:55 2022/6/8
VOR: 0 //Voice activated setting (0--7) 0 is off, 1-7 is voice activated on, the larger number is, the more sensitive will be.
BIT:4 // Bit Rate Setting, 1 is 32K, 2 is 64K, 3 is 128K, 4 is 192K
GAIN:5 // Recording Sensitivity (1--7) The large number is, the louder recording sound will be.
PART:60 //Recording File Segmented Time (10--240 minutes). Example: 60.
Figure 4: Example content of the MRECSET.txt settings file.
4.1 Parameter Explanations:
- TIME: Indicates the date and time setting. The numbers from left to right represent (year, month, day, hour, minute, second). Adjust these values to synchronize the system time.
- VOR (Voice Operated Recording): This is the voice control setting, adjustable from 0 to 7.
- 0: VOR is off.
- 1-7: VOR is on. A smaller number means a louder sound is needed to start recording. A larger number means higher sensitivity (a softer sound will trigger recording).
- BIT (Bit Rate Setting): Sets the recording quality.
- 1: 32Kbps
- 2: 64Kbps
- 3: 128Kbps
- 4: 192Kbps (Higher bit rate means better quality but larger file size).
- GAIN (Recording Sensitivity Adjustment): Adjustable from 1 to 7. A higher number indicates higher gain and a louder recording sound.
- PART (Recording File Segmented Time): Sets the duration for each recording file segment, adjustable from 10 to 240 minutes. The default is 60 minutes (1 hour).
5. Power Management
The device is powered by a built-in 280mAh lithium battery.

Figure 5: Battery capacity and approximate recording time.
5.1 Charging Instructions
- When the indicator red and blue lights flash 3 times quickly and the device automatically shuts down, please charge it immediately.
- Use the provided USB data cable to connect the device to your computer's USB port for charging. The computer will recognize the hardware while charging.
- You can also use a dedicated charger. For smooth and long-term use, we recommend purchasing a 3C genuine charger with specifications: 5V 500mAh.
- Charging time is approximately 2 hours for a full charge.
- During charging, the indicator light will flash red. Once fully charged, the blue light will remain on.
6. Troubleshooting
Q1: The storage capacity displayed on the device is not the same as the nominal value.
A1: Computers use binary calculations (1KB = 1024 bytes, 1MB = 1024KB, 1GB = 1024MB), while manufacturers often use decimal (1KB = 1000 bytes). Additionally, the internal firmware and system files will occupy a small portion of the memory space, leading to a discrepancy in displayed capacity.
Q2: Some songs cannot be played on this device.
A2: Please check if the music file format is correct. Ensure the files are in MP3 format. If not, convert them to MP3 or download music in the correct format.
Q3: Why does this recorder react slowly?
A3: Frequent use, especially deleting files, can lead to flash memory fragmentation (similar to a computer hard disk). If this occurs, please connect the device to a computer and format the flash memory. Remember to back up important files before formatting.
Q4: What if the internal software of this product is damaged?
A4: This is typically caused by abnormal operation. Please contact your local after-sales service point for assistance to resolve the problem.

8. User Tips
- Regular Backups: Always back up your important recordings to a computer or cloud storage to prevent accidental loss.
- Optimal Recording Quality: For the best audio quality, set the BIT rate to 192Kbps in the MRECSET.txt file. Be mindful that this will consume more storage space.
- Voice Activation (VOR): Experiment with VOR sensitivity settings (1-7) to find the ideal level for your environment. A higher number is suitable for quiet settings, while a lower number is better for noisy environments.
- File Management: Periodically connect your recorder to a computer to transfer and organize your files. If the device becomes slow, consider formatting the flash memory after backing up all data.
- Charging Best Practices: Use a reliable 5V 500mAh charger for optimal charging speed and battery longevity. Avoid overcharging by disconnecting once the blue indicator light is solid.
