1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Imagebon W60 Dash Cam. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device to ensure proper functionality and to maximize your user experience. The Imagebon W60 is a high-performance car DVR featuring an 11.3-inch display, Android 14 operating system, 8-core processor, and support for wireless CarPlay and Android Auto.

2. Product Variants: W60 vs W60N

The Imagebon Dash Cam is available in two main variants: W60 and W60N. Please note the key differences:

  • Imagebon W60N: This model does NOT include a front-facing camera and does NOT have a recording function.
  • Imagebon W60: This model features a front-facing camera that opens vertically and can rotate 180°. It includes a video recording function.

5. Setup and Installation

5.1. Initial Setup

  1. Ensure the car engine is switched off.
  2. Insert the TF card into the TF card slot. Note: Please use a high-speed TF card (Class 10 or above) with a capacity of not less than 8GB and up to a maximum of 128GB.
  3. Fix the smart screen on the car's center console using the provided adhesive mount or suction cup bracket.
  4. Insert the car charger into the cigarette lighter of the car. If you have an OBD version, connect it to the OBD port according to your power supply method.
  5. Use the charging extension cable to connect the USB port of the recorder and the car charger. The cable can be laid along the edge of the windscreen for neat wiring.

5.2. Rear Camera Installation (for W60 models with rear camera)

  1. Install the rear camera at the back of the vehicle, paying attention to its orientation. The wiring can be laid along the roof of the vehicle.
  2. After installation, connect the rear plug to the rear camera port of the recorder.
  3. Adjust the position of the lens to ensure it is level with the ground.
  4. Start the engine and check if the machine has been installed correctly.

Warning: Due to different car models, professional assistance is recommended for installation. This method is for reference only. In strict accordance with the instructions to install, prevent the recorder burn, recommended professional master installation.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Power Button

  • Power On/Off: In the off state, long press the power button for 3 seconds to turn on the unit. In the power-on state, long press for 3 seconds to automatically save data and switch off the machine.
  • Monitor Backlight: Short press the power button to enter the screen saver HUD mode. Short press again to hibernate (turn off backlight). Short press a third time to light up the screen.

6.2. Screensaver and Hibernation

Access Settings > Display > Screen Saver to configure the screen saver time. The default is one minute of inactivity before entering screen saver mode. You can modify this time. The default hibernation mode is closed. If both screen saver and hibernation are enabled, the screen saver will function. To allow hibernation, close the screen saver.

6.3. Home Screen and Navigation

The home screen provides access to various functions and applications. You can swipe left from the right side of the screen to return to the previous page.

  • Native Player: Click the icon to play video, music, and pictures. Supports MP4, MOV, 3GP, MKV, FLV, WMV. Does not support 2K and 4K resolution video, VOB, RMVB, MPG.
  • Navigation Bar:
    • Click the back arrow to return to the previous layer.
    • Click the home icon to return to the main screen.
    • Click the square icon to open the list of history apps. Swipe up to clear background apps.
    • Click the camera icon to open the rear view mirror preview screen.
  • Status Bar: Swipe from top to bottom in the main interface to view the status bar, which allows you to adjust brightness, volume, WiFi, Bluetooth, Flight Mode, etc.

6.4. Audio Output

Manage audio output settings:

  1. Native Audio: Use the right-hand side switch to control whether audio is output from the unit's speakers.
  2. AUX Audio: Connect the AUX audio cable to the car's speakers for audio output.
  3. FM Audio:
    • Tap on FM to enter FM mode automatically.
    • Click 'More Settings' to adjust the FM frequency.
    • Manually adjust the frequency. (Tip: Turn on the radio first and adjust to an empty band with no sound).
    • Switch on the car radio and adjust it to the appropriate frequency, then the FM function will work.
  4. BT Transmit (Bluetooth Projection):
    • Click 'More Settings' to enter the Bluetooth interface and connect your mobile phone's Bluetooth (ensure hotspot is on).
    • When connected to CarPlay or Android Auto, if you click BT Projection, a prompt will ask to turn on CP/AA mobile phone sound. This will temporarily disconnect and reconnect CarPlay/Android Auto. Use this function if you need to play music from your mobile phone or if your phone is connected to other Bluetooth devices.

6.5. Applications and Features

  • CarPlay: Click the CarPlay icon to access CarPlay functions.
  • Android Auto: Click the Android Auto icon to access Android Auto related functions.
  • Mirror Link: Click the Mirror Link icon to access the wireless screen casting function.
  • Maps: Click the Maps icon to access map functions.
  • Camera: Click the Camera icon to access full-screen preview of the rear-view mirror.
  • Chrome: Click the Chrome icon to open Google Chrome and enter URLs.
  • Settings: Click the Settings icon to enter the system setup interface.
  • Google Play Store: Supports downloading and installing additional apps.
  • GPS Navigation: Built-in GPS supports offline map download and antenna.
  • 5GHz High-speed WiFi: Provides faster and more stable video transfer speeds.
  • Seamless Connectivity: Connect to a hotspot to access online navigation, YouTube, TikTok, etc.
  • Loop Recording: Automatically overwrites old files and continuously records the driving route.
  • OTA Upgrade: Supports over-the-air updates for the latest features and improvements. Access via App list > Setting > About Device > Updater.

OTA Upgrade instructions: 1. Click 'App list' -> 'Setting', 2. Find 'About Device' menu and click 'Updater', 3. Device will automatically restart after upgrade.

7. Maintenance

  • Do not squeeze the car recorder.
  • Avoid operating the car recorder if it exhibits any malfunctions or 'disease'.
  • Keep the screen clean using a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Ensure proper ventilation around the device to prevent overheating.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Device Crashes: If the recorder crashes, short press the reset hole on the back of the body to reconnect the power supply. This should restore it to normal operation.
  • Screen Inverted: If the display screen shows an inverted image, please contact customer support for assistance.
  • No Power: Ensure the car charger is properly connected to both the dash cam and the car's power outlet (cigarette lighter or OBD port). Check the car's fuse if necessary.
  • TF Card Not Detected/Recording Issues: Ensure the TF card is inserted correctly and is a Class 10 or above card with a capacity between 8GB and 128GB. Try reformatting the card (this will erase all data).
  • Bluetooth/WiFi Connection Issues: Ensure Bluetooth/WiFi is enabled on both the dash cam and the connecting device. Check for correct passwords for WiFi networks.
  • Abnormal Operation: If the car recorder is abnormal, long press the power button for 9 seconds to power off and restart the device.

9. User Tips

  • Regularly check your TF card for free space and consider formatting it periodically to maintain optimal recording performance.
  • Keep the dash cam's firmware updated via OTA upgrades to benefit from the latest features and stability improvements.
  • Utilize the split-screen mode for simultaneous navigation and media playback for a more convenient driving experience.
  • For optimal GPS performance, ensure the GPS antenna is placed in an unobstructed location.
