4. Setup

4.1. Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the radio using the provided TYPE-C charging port. Important: Do not use fast chargers, as this may damage the device.

4.2. Antenna Connection

The radio supports two types of antennas for optimal reception:

1. Telescopic Antenna: For general use, screw the telescopic antenna into the SMA-KE (female) connector on the radio. Extend it fully for better reception.
2. Donut WB Antenna: For enhanced reception, especially in specific frequency ranges, connect the Donut WB Antenna to the SMA-KE connector. This antenna supports 360-degree rotation for better reception effect.

4.3. Headphone Connection

Connect 3.5mm 3-pin stereo headphones to the audio jack. Headphones are not included. For FM reception, wired headphones can act as an antenna in environments with strong FM signals and sufficiently long headphone cables.

5.1. Power On/Off

Locate the power button or knob (typically integrated with the volume control) to turn the device on or off.

The radio supports FM, AM, LSB, and USB modes. Use the controls on the device to cycle through these operating modes.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning

Wipe the radio with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as they may damage the finish or internal components.

6.2. Storage

Store the radio in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) to prolong its lifespan.

6.3. Battery Care

The radio uses a rechargeable 800mAh battery. Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge it regularly, but do not leave it connected to a charger indefinitely after it's full.

• No Power: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the radio to a TYPE-C charger and allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on again.
• Weak Signal/Poor Reception:
  • Extend the telescopic antenna fully or adjust its orientation.
  • If using the Donut WB Antenna, rotate it 360 degrees to find the best reception angle.
  • Try moving to a different location, especially outdoors or near a window.
  • Ensure the antenna is securely connected to the SMA-KE port.
• No Sound from Speaker/Headphones:
  • Check the volume level.
  • Ensure headphones are properly plugged into the 3.5mm audio jack.
  • Test with different headphones to rule out headphone issues.
• Wi-Fi Signal Weakness (for CNC metal casing version): The CNC aluminum alloy material provides shielding that enhances interference resistance but may weaken Wi-Fi signal strength. This is a characteristic of the material and not a defect. Consider using the plastic casing version if Wi-Fi signal strength is a critical concern.
• Display Issues: If the screen is dim, adjust the backlight level in the Basic Setup menu. If the display is unresponsive or frozen, try restarting the device.
