  • Switch Replacement (Hot-Swap Design):

The A18 keyboard supports full key hot-swapping, allowing for easy replacement of mechanical switches without soldering. This feature enables you to customize your typing feel or replace faulty switches. The keyboard supports both three-legged and five-legged shaft bodies.

    To replace a switch:

    1. Carefully remove the keycap using a keycap puller.
    2. Use a switch puller to gently extract the switch from its socket.
    3. Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB and press firmly until it clicks into place.
    4. Reattach the keycap.

  • Battery Maintenance:

To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the keyboard frequently. Charge it when the battery indicator is low. Store the keyboard in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.

Troubleshooting

  • Keyboard Not Responding:
    • Ensure the keyboard is powered on using the ON/OFF switch.
    • Check the battery level and charge if necessary.
    • If using 2.4G wireless, ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged into your device and the INS key light is on.
    • If using wired mode, ensure the USB Type-C cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and your device, and the return key light is on.
    • Try connecting to a different USB port or device to rule out port/device issues.
  • Specific Keys Not Working:
    • Due to the hot-swappable design, individual switches can be replaced. Refer to the "Maintenance" section for instructions on replacing switches.
    • Ensure the keycap is properly seated on the switch.
  • Intermittent Wireless Connection:
    • Ensure the keyboard is within range of the 2.4G receiver (typically up to 10 meters, though closer is better for stability).
    • Avoid obstructions between the keyboard and the receiver.
    • Minimize interference from other 2.4GHz devices (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, other wireless peripherals).
    • Ensure the keyboard battery is sufficiently charged.

User Tips

  • Portability:

The compact size and magnetic receiver storage make the A18 ideal for travel. Always store the 2.4G receiver inside the keyboard when transporting to prevent loss.

  • Customization:

Experiment with different mechanical switches (three-legged or five-legged) to find your preferred typing feel, thanks to the hot-swap feature.

  • Battery Management:

For optimal battery life, remember to switch the keyboard off when not in use for extended periods.
