4.4. Wheel Circumference Setting

Accurate wheel circumference setting is crucial for precise speed and distance measurements. There are two primary methods:

  1. Using Marked Size: Record the marked size on your wheel and refer to the table below to find the corresponding perimeter.
  2. Direct Measurement: Make a mark point on your wheel and on the ground. Cycle the bicycle forward one full rotation of the wheel. The distance traveled on the ground is the wheel circumference (Unit: MM).
  3. Recommended for Accuracy: For the most accurate measurement, have two people assist. One person should be seated on the bicycle while the measurement is taken.

5.5. Data Reset

To reset the measured data (Trip Distance, Max Speed, Average Speed, Trip Ride Time), press the SET button for 3 seconds. A 'RESET' warning will appear and blink twice, indicating that the data has been erased to 0.

6. Charging

The Bikevee BKV-501 features a convenient USB-C charging interface.

  • Charge the computer only with the supplied USB-C cable. Using other cables may cause damage.
  • Always unplug the cable after charging is complete.
  • Do not leave the device unattended while charging.
  • Ensure the USB port is properly covered by its lid after charging to maintain water resistance.
  • The battery may get warm during charging; this is normal.
  • For optimal battery life, several partial charging cycles are better than a single full cycle. Avoid ultra-fast, high-capacity charging.
  • Charge the battery before long-term storage (recharge at least once every 6 months).
  • Do not charge or use a damaged computer.
  • Do not charge with a power source exceeding 5V.

6.1. Battery Indicators

  • 1/100% Battery Indicator: Approximately 150 hours of battery life (12 hours with LED display backlight).
  • 2/50% Battery Indicator: Approximately 60 hours of battery life (12 hours with LED display backlight).
  • 3/25% Battery Indicator: Charge the computer (battery life approximately 10 hours, 0.5 hours with LED backlight).

7. Maintenance

  • Regularly check the distance between the sensor and the magnet to ensure it remains within the recommended 5mm.
  • Always dismount the computer when cleaning the bicycle or storing it outdoors to protect it from rain and snow.
  • Battery capacity may reduce to approximately 70-80% after 300-500 charging cycles. Performance may also decrease at lower temperatures.
  • Do not expose the computer to high temperatures (above +40°C, e.g., inside a hot car), low temperatures (below 0°C), high humidity, or direct sunlight.
  • Store the device in a cool, dry place, away from children, heat sources, and flammable materials.
