4. Setup

4.1 Mounting the Device

Follow these steps to securely mount your Bikevee GPS Cycling Computer to your bicycle handlebars:

  1. Place the bicycle computer mount horizontally on your handlebar.
  2. Securely attach the mount using the provided rubber rings or screws, ensuring it is firm and stable.
  3. Align the Bikevee computer with the mount and turn it clockwise by 90 degrees until it clicks into place.

4.2 Initial GPS Calibration

For the first use, or if you experience issues with GPS accuracy:

  1. Take the device to an open area with a clear view of the sky.
  2. Stay still and wait for 30 to 90 seconds to receive the satellite signal and calibrate the time.
  3. Manually set the time zone according to your current location.

5. Operation

5.1 Button Functions

The Bikevee GPS Cycling Computer features intuitive button controls:

  • Left Button:
    • Press and hold for two seconds to power the device on or off.
    • Click to display cycling data (indicated by a play icon ►).
    • When cycling data is not displayed (indicated by a pause icon ▮▮), click to resume display.
  • Right Button:
    • Long press to enter the settings page.
    • Click to move to the next data page.
  • Both Buttons:
    • Press and hold both the left and right buttons for two seconds to clear the current cycling data.
    • Press and hold both buttons for six seconds to clear all data, including the total mileage.

5.2 Unit Settings (Kilometers/Miles)

To switch between kilometers (KMH) and miles (MPH) and adjust temperature units:

  1. Press the left button to switch between kilometers and miles.
  2. After switching to miles, the temperature will automatically be displayed in Fahrenheit.
  3. To access more unit settings, long press the right button to enter the settings menu.
  4. Right-click (short press the right button) to turn the page and find the unit settings option.

5.3 Data Display

The device displays various cycling metrics to help you monitor your performance:

  • Speed: Current, Average (AVS), Maximum (MXS). Up/down arrows indicate if current speed is higher/lower than average.
  • Distance: Trip distance (DST), Total distance (ODC).
  • Time: Trip time (RTM), Total time (TTM), Clock.
  • Altitude: Current altitude (ATL), Ascent (GRA).
  • Other: Temperature, Battery level, Gradient.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Charging the Battery

The Bikevee BKV-3001W is equipped with a 650mAh rechargeable battery, providing up to 28 hours of continuous use. To charge the device:

  • Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the charging port on the device.
  • Connect the other end of the cable to a standard USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter).
  • A full charge takes approximately 2 hours.
