Operating Instructions

1. App Control

Once paired, you can control the relay module via the respective app (Tuya Smart, Smart Life, eWelink, or Zigbee).

  • ON/OFF Control: Tap the ON/OFF buttons for each of the 4 channels to toggle connected appliances.
  • Timing Function: Set schedules for automatic ON/OFF operations. This includes countdowns, single-event timings, and repeating schedules.
  • Scene Creation: Create custom scenes to automate actions based on various conditions (e.g., turn on lights when you arrive home, or based on temperature/humidity).
  • Sharing Function: Share control of the device with family members through the app.

2. Voice Control

Integrate your smart relay module with Amazon Alexa or Google Home/Assistant for hands-free control.

  • Link Account: Follow the instructions in your Alexa or Google Home app to link your Tuya Smart/Smart Life/eWeLink account.
  • Voice Commands: Use commands like "Alexa, turn on the light" or "Hey Google, turn off the garage door."

3. Working Modes

The module supports three working modes: Inching, Self-locking, and Interlock. These modes define how the relays behave when activated.

  • Inching Mode: The relay turns on for a set duration (configurable in the app) and then automatically turns off. Ideal for momentary actions like opening a garage door.
  • Self-locking Mode: The relay toggles its state with each activation (ON/OFF). Press once to turn on, press again to turn off.
  • Interlock Mode: When one relay is turned ON, all other relays in the group automatically turn OFF. This is useful for controlling devices where only one can be active at a time (e.g., motor direction).

You can typically switch between these modes within the device settings in your smart home app.

Maintenance

  • Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning.
  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.
  • Regularly check wiring connections to ensure they are secure.
  • Periodically update the device firmware via the app to ensure optimal performance and security.

Troubleshooting

  • Device Offline: Check your Wi-Fi connection (ensure it's 2.4GHz). Try restarting your router and the smart relay module. Re-pair the device if necessary.
  • App Control Not Responding: Ensure your phone has an internet connection. Check the device status in the app. If the device is online but not responding, try restarting the module.
  • RF Remote Not Working: Ensure the remote is paired correctly. Repeat the pairing process if needed. Check the remote's battery.
  • Relay Not Activating: Verify the wiring connections are correct and secure. Check the power supply to the module. Ensure the connected appliance is functioning correctly.
  • Difficulty Pairing: Make sure the device is in pairing mode (network indicator blinking fast). Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is enabled for initial discovery (if applicable).

Solutions for the failure of product matching and offline:

Enter the homepage of the App, click the icon in the lower right corner of the interface to enter settings or troubleshooting options. Look for options related to device status, network diagnostics, or re-pairing.

User Tips

  • For optimal performance, place the smart relay module within a reasonable range of your Wi-Fi router or Zigbee gateway.
  • When using the timing function, consider setting a small buffer time (e.g., 1-2 minutes) to account for network delays.
  • Utilize the 'Family Sharing' feature to allow multiple household members to control smart devices, enhancing convenience for everyone.
  • Experiment with different working modes (inching, self-locking, interlock) to find the best fit for each connected appliance.
  • Regularly check for app updates to ensure you have the latest features and security patches.
