5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your FM Radio Kit, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the radio. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: Store the radio in a dry, dust-free environment when not in use.
  • Battery Replacement: If using AAA batteries, replace them when the radio's performance degrades or the display dims.
  • Antenna Care: Handle the rod antenna gently to prevent bending or breaking. Extend it fully for best reception.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your FM Radio Kit, refer to the following troubleshooting tips:

  • No Power:
    • Check if the power switch is in the 'ON' position.
    • If using USB power, ensure the cable is securely connected and the power source is active.
    • If using batteries, verify they are inserted correctly with the right polarity and are not depleted.
  • No Sound:
    • Ensure the volume is turned up.
    • If using headphones/external speakers, check their connection to the 3.5mm audio jack.
    • Verify that the speaker is correctly connected to the circuit board.
  • Poor Reception/Static:
    • Extend the rod antenna fully and adjust its position for better signal.
    • Move the radio to a location with fewer obstructions or electromagnetic interference.
    • The number of receiving stations depends on the strength of the peripheral signal.
  • Digital Display Not Working:
    • Check power supply.
    • Ensure the digital tube component is correctly soldered and connected.
  • Welding Issues: If the kit does not function after assembly and you suspect welding errors, carefully inspect all solder joints for cold joints, bridges, or incorrect component placement. If you are unable to resolve the issue, contact customer service for further assistance.
