1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the PT260 Wireless Portable Thermal Label Printer. This compact and versatile device is designed for efficient label printing in various environments, including home, office, and retail. It features fast printing, wireless connectivity via Bluetooth, and supports a wide range of label designs through its dedicated mobile application. 2. Setup Guide

2.1 Unboxing

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure you have the PT260 printer, a USB charging cable, and any included sample label rolls.

2.2 Charging the Printer

Before first use, fully charge the printer. Connect the USB charging cable to the printer's charging port and to a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The 1500mAh battery provides extended usage on a single charge.

2.3 Loading the Label Roll

  1. Open the printer's lid by gently pressing the release button or sliding the cover.
  2. Insert the thermal label roll into the compartment, ensuring the printing side of the labels faces upwards and the roll is properly seated.
  3. Pull a small portion of the label paper out past the print head.
  4. Close the printer lid securely.

2.4 App Installation and Connection

  1. Download the official Phomemo app from your smartphone's app store (available for Android and Apple devices).
  2. Ensure your printer is powered on and Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
  3. Open the Phomemo app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect to your PT260 printer via Bluetooth 4.0.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Powering On/Off

Press and hold the power button on the front of the printer to turn it on or off. The indicator light will illuminate when the printer is on.

3.2 Designing and Printing Labels

  1. Once connected to the app, select a label template or create a new design.
  2. Utilize the app's features to add text, barcodes, QR codes, and various icons. The app supports bulk import of data for printing tables.
  3. Preview your label design in the app.
  4. Tap the print button in the app to send the design to your PT260 printer.
  5. The printer will feed and print the labels. Tear off the printed labels along the serrated edge.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning the Printer

To maintain print quality, regularly clean the print head and the paper path. Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol to gently wipe the print head. Ensure the printer is off and disconnected from power before cleaning. Allow it to dry completely before use.

4.2 Storage

Store the printer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove the label roll if the printer will not be used for an extended period.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Printer Not Turning On

  • Check if the battery is charged. Connect the printer to a power source using the USB cable.
  • Ensure the power button is pressed and held for a few seconds until the indicator light appears.

5.2 Bluetooth Connection Issues

  • Verify that Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and the printer.
  • Ensure the printer is within range of your smartphone.
  • Try unpairing and re-pairing the printer in your smartphone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Restart both the printer and your smartphone.

5.3 Poor Print Quality

  • Check if the label roll is inserted correctly and is not running out.
  • Clean the print head as described in the Maintenance section.
  • Ensure you are using high-quality thermal labels.

5.4 Paper Jamming

  • Turn off the printer and carefully open the lid.
  • Remove any jammed paper or debris.
  • Ensure the label roll is loaded correctly and smoothly.
  • Close the lid firmly before restarting.
