6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Basic Thermal Imaging
Upon powering on, the camera will display a thermal image. The screen shows temperature readings, battery status, and other relevant information. The ET693C features a 256x192 infrared resolution, enhanced to 512x384 with Super IR technology for clearer and more accurate images.

6.2. Image Modes
The camera supports various imaging modes to suit different scenarios:
- Single Infrared: Displays only the thermal image.
- Visible Light: Displays only the visible light image from the 1080P camera.
- Outline Fusion: Overlays the outline of the visible light image onto the thermal image.
- Overlay Fusion: Blends the visible light image with the thermal image.
- Picture-in-Picture Mode: Displays a smaller visible light image within the thermal image.
Note on Fusion Modes: The recommended distance for visible light fusion (outline fusion, overlay fusion) effect is 1m-5m. Do not use it too close as it will exceed the range of Offset adjustment. You can adjust the fusion percentage (0-100%) and offset between thermal and visible images in the settings.

6.3. Temperature Measurement
The ET693C measures temperatures in the range of -20℃ to 550℃ with an accuracy of ±2℃ or ±2% of reading (whichever is greater). It supports full-screen hot spot, cold spot, center point temperature measurement, and regional temperature measurement. Distance compensation is supported within 5 meters.

6.4. Color Palettes
Choose from 9 different color palettes to visualize thermal data according to your preference and application:
- Iron red
- White hot
- Black hot
- Rainbow
- Red hot
- High contrast
- Lava
- Arctic
- Cold blue

6.5. Photo and Video Recording
The ET693C supports both photo and video recording. Press the appropriate button (refer to Figure 3) to capture images or start/stop video recording. All media is stored on the internal 8G memory (approx. 6.19G usable, capable of storing over 20,000 pictures).

6.6. Laser Pointer
The built-in laser pointer helps quickly locate the detection target and accurately find key temperature measurement points in complex scenes, improving detection efficiency and accuracy.

6.7. Flashlight
A built-in high-brightness LED flashlight ensures clear observation of the target even in dark environments.

6.8. PC Real-Time Connection and Data Analysis
Connect the camera to a computer via the USB Type-C cable for real-time imaging transmission. The PC software also supports importing stored images and videos for data analysis, including 3D thermal field distribution functions.

6.9. Automatic Shutdown
The device supports custom automatic shutdown settings to conserve battery life. Options typically include 5, 10, 30, 60 minutes, or Never.

6.10. Calibration
In order to correct non-uniformity, a mechanical control calibration plate is installed in front of the thermal imaging detector. This plate will be calibrated approximately every 10 seconds to ensure more accurate measurements. This typically causes a brief pause of about 1-2 seconds, which is a normal phenomenon during thermal imaging detector calibration.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: For long-term storage, charge the battery to about 50% and recharge every few months to maintain battery health.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your TOOLTOP ET693C, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Device not powering on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a power source and try again.
- Image unclear or distorted: Check the focus (if adjustable) and ensure the lens is clean. If using fusion modes, verify the object is within the recommended 1m-5m distance.
- Temperature readings seem inaccurate: Ensure the emissivity setting is correct for the material being measured. Allow for the automatic calibration process to complete.
- Cannot connect to PC: Ensure the USB Type-C cable is securely connected to both the camera and the computer. Try a different USB port or cable.
If the problem persists, please contact customer support.
