4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

Regular cleaning helps maintain the hygiene and functionality of your pill dispenser. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior of the device. For the medication trays, they can be removed and gently cleaned with mild soap and water, then thoroughly dried before reinserting. Do not immerse the main unit in water.

4.2 Desiccant Replacement

The built-in desiccant helps protect medications from moisture. Check the desiccant regularly and replace it as needed to ensure optimal moisture protection. The frequency of replacement depends on the humidity levels in your environment.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Wi-Fi Connection Issues

  • Ensure 2.4GHz Network: Verify that your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The device does not support 5GHz networks.
  • Check Bluetooth & Location: Confirm that Bluetooth and Location services are enabled on your smartphone during the pairing process.
  • Keep App Open: Do not close or switch away from the Ideerfit app during Wi-Fi setup.
  • Power Connection: Ensure the device is plugged into a power source, as Wi-Fi setup requires external power.

5.2 Dispensing Problems

  • Check Tray Alignment: Ensure the medication trays are correctly inserted and aligned.
  • Verify Schedule: Double-check the set medication schedule on the device or via the app to confirm the correct dispensing times.
  • Pill Size: Ensure pills are not too large or irregularly shaped, which could obstruct the dispensing mechanism.

5.3 Device Not Responding

  • Power Check: Verify the power adapter is securely connected and the power outlet is functional.
  • Battery Check: Ensure backup batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge.
  • Restart Device: Disconnect power, remove batteries, wait a few seconds, then reconnect power and batteries to restart the device.
