3.2. Buttons and Lights

  • Short press button (3 seconds): Take a photo.
  • Click button: View WiFi information / Switch between Front Camera and Rear Camera display.
  • Long press button: Turn the device On/Off.
  • Press button (8 seconds): Restore factory settings.
  • Blinking red light: Indicates video recording (for both front and rear cameras).
  • Blinking yellow light: Indicates that video recording is locked (triggered by G-sensor).

4. Setup

4.1. Memory Card Installation

  1. Insert a Class 10 or above Micro SD card into the dash cam's memory card slot. A minimum of 16GB and a maximum of 256GB is supported.
  2. Important: Format the SD card before inserting it into the dash cam for the first time.
  3. Do not pull out or insert the memory card while the driving recorder is turned on to avoid data corruption or damage to the card/device.

4.2. Dash Cam Mounting

  1. Attach the dash cam to a suitable position on your front windshield, ensuring it does not obstruct your view or interfere with airbags.
  2. Adjust the viewing angle of the front camera accordingly to capture the desired field of view.

4.3. Power Connection

  1. Connect the USB power cable into the Type-C USB power port of the dash cam.

4.4. Rear Camera Installation (Optional)

4.5. Hardwire Kit Installation for 24H Parking Monitoring (Optional)

The hardwire kit allows for continuous power to the dash cam for 24-hour parking monitoring without occupying the cigarette lighter interface. This requires connecting to your car's fuse box.

  1. Locate two fuse slots in your car's fuse box: one that provides constant power and one that provides power only when the ignition (ACC) is on.
  2. Connect the YELLOW wire from the hardwire kit to the constant power fuse slot.
  3. Connect the RED wire from the hardwire kit to the ACC power fuse slot.
  4. Connect the BLACK wire to a grounding screw or bolt on the car's chassis.

Note: The DVR is compatible with 12V power supplies. For 24V vehicles, a 24V to 12V converter (KIT) is required to prevent damage to the motherboard.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. App Installation (Viidure App)

To access advanced features and manage your recordings, download the "Viidure" app on your mobile phone (supports both Apple and Android devices).

  1. Scan the QR code below with your mobile device's camera or a QR code scanner app.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).

Note: Please grant the app all requested system permissions. If permissions are accidentally denied, clear the app data in your phone settings to restore its initial state and re-grant permissions.

5.2. WiFi Connection Steps

Connect your dash cam to the Viidure app via WiFi for live preview, video management, and settings adjustments.

  1. Step 1: Ensure WiFi is enabled on both your mobile phone and the dash cam. Open the Viidure APP.
  2. Step 2: Connect the dash cam to its power supply. In the app, you may be prompted to allow location permission; click 'OK'.
  3. Step 3: In the app, tap 'Connect WiFi'. Your phone will navigate to its WiFi settings. Select the dash cam's WiFi network (e.g., "Dashcam-XXXXXX") and enter the password (default: 12345678). Return to the app and click 'CONNECT'.
  4. Step 4: Upon successful connection, you will enter the dash cam's interface within the app. If the connection fails, ensure the dash cam is powered on and click the button on the dash cam to restart its WiFi within 5 minutes, then try again.

5.3. GPS Function Introduction

The dash cam features built-in GPS for recording location and speed data, which can be crucial for evidence.

  1. After a successful GPS connection (if an optional GPS module is used, ensure it's connected), the speed icon on the dash cam display will turn green.
  2. Watching GPS videos on your computer:
    • Windows System: Insert the TF card into your computer. Download, unzip, and install the dedicated GPS player (GXPlayer) to watch videos with GPS data.
    • iOS System: Install the GXPlayer APP on your MacBook to watch videos directly.
  3. Watching GPS videos on your mobile phone (via Viidure App):
    • Connect your phone to the dash cam's WiFi.
    • Enter the "Viidure" APP and go to the photo album.
    • Select a video and download it to your phone's local photo album.
    • Exit video recording and go to "Local Files" in the APP.
    • Downloaded videos can be viewed even with WiFi turned off.

Tips on GPS Usage:

  • Factors Affecting GPS Signals: Signal interference in the car, severe weather (rainstorm, snowstorm), weak signals in tunnels or remote mountainous areas.
  • GPS videos must be viewed with a dedicated player (GXPlayer) on a computer.
  • To view GPS videos in the mobile app, you must first download them to local files.

6. App Interface Introduction

The Viidure app provides an intuitive interface for managing your dash cam.

  • Memory Capacity: Displays the current usage and total capacity of your memory card.
