This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the SiAECOSYS DKD LCD-M Speedometer Display. This advanced display unit supports both CAN and LIN communication protocols, offering comprehensive information for electric scooters and motorcycles.

The DKD LCD-M Speedometer Display offers a range of features designed for optimal user experience and vehicle monitoring:

Note on DKD LCD-M vs. DKD LCD:
- The gear display for DKD LCD-M is D/P/R/E/S. For DKD LCD, it is D/N/R or 1/2/3/S/P.
- The red light strip above the DKD LCD-M indicates temperature (when working with SiA CAN controller), while on DKD LCD it indicates motor power.
- Dimensions and wire harness definitions are identical for both models.

4. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for proper installation of your DKD LCD-M Speedometer Display:
4.1 Wiring Diagram
Refer to the wiring diagram below for correct connections. The total length of the line is 200mm, with a cable protective sleeve of 110mm. The connector type is 5557-2*10.

4.2 Wire Definitions
- Green/Black: CAN-BUS (CAN-)
- Yellow/Red: CAN-BUS (CAN+)
- Yellow/White: LIN
- Blue: Headlight
- Light Blue: Turn Right
- Orange: Turn Left
- Purple: Battery-
- Blue/White: Battery+
4.3 Physical Installation
Mount the speedometer securely on the front of your vehicle using appropriate brackets and fasteners. Ensure the display is visible and buttons are accessible. Refer to the mounting dimensions in Section 3.1 for precise fitting.

5. Operating Instructions
The speedometer automatically identifies One-line or CAN-BUS communication upon startup. Interactive recognition is not possible during operation; identification occurs only during startup.
5.1 Button Functions
- Left Button: Used for adjusting data within settings.
- Right Button: Used for shifting between options/settings.
- Long Press Right Button: Exits the current setting menu.
- Pressing Left Button to Start Setup: To enter password setting interface (showing CC---), press the left button.
- Pressing Left Button to Input Password: After entering the password interface, press the left button to input the password.
- Right Button for Shifting: Use the right button to navigate through password digits or setting options.
5.2 ODO/TRIP Function
- Short press to switch: Quickly press the button to switch between Odometer (ODO) and Trip distance.
- Pressing for 3 seconds: To enter the TRIP page, press and hold for 3 seconds. Data can be cleared as per user's wish.
- Data will not clear when charging or activating the battery.
6. Function Settings (Password Protected)
Access advanced settings using specific passwords:

- Password 153: Set circumference, pole pairs, offset, units (mm). Default circumference is 1413. After setting circumference, long press the right button to enter pole pairs and offset setting. Default pole pairs is 28 (for mid-drive motor, pole pair setting should be: pole pair * reduction ratio). 08 means offset.
- Password 256: Select 2-speed gear or normal 3-speed gear. -2 is 2-speed, -0 is normal 3-speed gear.
- Password 372: Reset ODO. Limit 3 times.
- Password 856: Select 60V/72V/96V/48V range, synchronize with battery bar. If matched lithium battery has compatible CAN-BUS protocol with speedometer, it will read the SOC automatically. If not, the speedometer will read the battery voltage. When using lead-acid battery to replace lithium battery, the speedometer needs to re-power.
- Password 879: Fixed voltage calibration (60V/72V/96V/48V), corresponds to settings.
- Password 824: Self-input voltage calibration.
- Password 974: KPH and MPH switchover.
- Password 928: Shut down the D/N/R indicator light.
- Password 919: Change the value of full voltage and undervoltage. Front is full voltage, back is undervoltage.
7. Maintenance
The SiAECOSYS DKD LCD-M Speedometer Display is designed for durability and requires minimal maintenance. Keep the display clean and free from dust and moisture. Avoid using harsh chemicals for cleaning. Regularly check all wiring connections for security and integrity.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your speedometer, please refer to the function descriptions in Section 2.1 to identify potential causes. Ensure all connections are secure and power supply is stable. For persistent problems, consult a qualified technician.
9. User Tips
- Always ensure the correct voltage setting is selected (Password 856) to accurately display battery capacity.
- When changing battery types (e.g., from lead-acid to lithium), remember to re-power the speedometer for correct voltage reading.
- For precise speed readings, accurately set the wheel tire size and pole pairs using Password 153.
