5.2.2. WiFi & APP Control

The built-in WiFi module allows for point-to-point connection with your mobile phone. Using the "Viidure" APP, you can watch, play, and download videos, as well as share recorded footage. The dashcam supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi for faster transfer speeds.

5.2.3. 24-Hour Parking Monitor

When activated (requires a special hardwire kit, not included), the parking monitor provides 24-hour surveillance. After the car is turned off, if an impact or vibration is detected, the dashcam will automatically wake up, record for 30 seconds, and lock the video as evidence. This feature ensures continuous protection for your vehicle.

Note: The parking mode function must be activated when the driving recorder is automatically turned off. It will not work after manual start or shutdown. This function is also unavailable if the car battery is completely drained.

5.2.4. G-Sensor & Loop Recording

The built-in G-sensor detects sudden impacts or collisions. When triggered, it automatically locks the current video file, preventing it from being overwritten. This ensures critical footage is saved as evidence. The device offers four sensitivity options for the G-sensor: off, low, medium, and high (factory default is off).

Loop recording continuously overwrites the oldest video files when the TF card is full, ensuring that recording never stops. Locked emergency videos are protected from being overwritten.

5.2.5. Superior Night Vision & WDR

The dashcam features highly sensitive night vision image sensors and infrared lamps, which automatically compensate for light/dark spots and balance exposure. This ensures clear video and photos even in low-light conditions. Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology further enhances image clarity by making both bright and dark areas visible simultaneously.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues during normal operation, refer to the solutions below:

  • **Cannot take photos or videos:** Check if the TF card has sufficient space and is not locked.
  • **Recording stops automatically:** Due to large HD video data, use a high-speed TF card (SDHC compatible, Class 10 or above).
  • **"File Error" appears during playback:** An error occurred while storing data, resulting in incomplete files. Reformat the TF card using the camera's "Format" function.
  • **Footage appears hazy:** Check if the lens is dirty with dust or fingerprints. Clean the lens with lens paper before shooting.
  • **Image is very dark (e.g., sky/water scenes):** In high-contrast scenes, the camera's exposure function may be affected. Adjust the "EV" value in the settings menu.
  • **Horizontal stripe interference in the image:** This is caused by incorrect "light source frequency" settings. Set it to "50Hz" or "60Hz" according to your local power supply frequency.
  • **Device crashes:** Short press the reset button (located in the reset hole) to restore the machine.

7. User Tips

  • **Initial TF Card Formatting:** For privacy protection and optimal performance, format the TF card the first time you use it. This can be done via the dashcam's settings menu or through the "Viidure" mobile application.
  • **Hardwire Kit for Parking Monitor:** To utilize the 24-hour parking monitor feature, a dedicated hardwire kit (not included) is required. Ensure proper installation of the hardwire kit for continuous monitoring.
  • **Regular Firmware Updates:** Check the manufacturer's website or the "Viidure" app for any available firmware updates to ensure your dashcam has the latest features and bug fixes.
  • **Cable Management:** When installing, carefully route all cables along the car's interior edges to prevent interference with driving and maintain a tidy appearance.

8. Maintenance

  • **Cleaning the Lens:** Regularly clean the camera lenses with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear recordings. Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the lens.
  • **TF Card Care:** Periodically format your TF card (e.g., once a month) to prevent data corruption and ensure smooth recording. Back up important videos before formatting.
  • **Temperature Exposure:** Avoid exposing the dashcam to extreme temperatures for extended periods, as this can affect battery life and device performance.
  • **Cable Inspection:** Periodically check all cables for any signs of wear or damage. Replace damaged cables immediately to prevent electrical issues.
