4. Package Contents

Each package typically includes:

  • 4 × INJORA 2.2" Beadlock Wheels (unassembled)
  • Required screws for assembly

Note: Tires and foam inserts are sold separately and are not included with the wheels.

5. Setup and Installation

These beadlock wheels require assembly and tire mounting. Follow these steps carefully:

  1. Disassemble the Wheel: Using a small hex wrench (typically 1.5mm or 2.0mm, not included), carefully remove all screws from the outer ring of the wheel. Separate the wheel into its main components: the main wheel body (brass core with aluminum face), and the outer aluminum beadlock ring.
  2. Prepare the Tire: Place your chosen 2.2" RC crawler tire over the main wheel body. Ensure the tire is oriented correctly (tread direction, if applicable).
  3. Insert Foam (Optional): If using foam inserts, place them inside the tire before mounting.
  4. Mount the First Bead: Carefully seat one bead of the tire into the groove on the main wheel body.
  5. Mount the Second Bead: Position the outer aluminum beadlock ring over the second bead of the tire. Align the screw holes on the outer ring with the corresponding holes on the main wheel body.
  6. Secure with Screws: Insert all screws through the outer beadlock ring and into the main wheel body. Tighten the screws in a star pattern (opposite screws) gradually to ensure even pressure and prevent stripping. Do not overtighten. The goal is to firmly clamp the tire bead without deforming the wheel or stripping the screw heads.
  7. Repeat for all Wheels: Follow the same procedure for the remaining wheels.
  8. Install on RC Crawler: Mount the assembled wheels onto your 1/10 RC crawler's 12mm hex hubs.

6. Operating Instructions

Once installed, your INJORA beadlock wheels are ready for use. These wheels are designed to provide excellent performance on various terrains typical for RC crawling. The added weight from the brass components helps improve stability and traction, especially on inclines and uneven surfaces.

  • Always ensure all wheel screws are securely tightened before operating your RC crawler.
  • Regularly inspect the wheels for any damage or loose components after each use.
  • Adjust tire pressure (if using air-filled tires) or foam inserts to suit different terrains and driving styles.

7. Maintenance

Proper maintenance will extend the life and performance of your INJORA beadlock wheels:

  • Cleaning: After use, especially in muddy or dusty conditions, clean the wheels with a soft brush and mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely to prevent corrosion, particularly on the brass components.
  • Screw Check: Periodically check all beadlock screws for tightness. Vibrations during operation can cause screws to loosen over time.
  • Visual Inspection: Inspect the wheels for any signs of damage, such as bends, cracks, or stripped screw holes. Replace damaged components as necessary.
  • Material Care: Brass can tarnish over time. If desired, brass polish can be used to restore its shine. Aluminum parts can be cleaned with appropriate aluminum cleaners if they become dull.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Tire Coming Off Bead: This usually indicates that the beadlock screws are not tightened sufficiently or were not tightened evenly. Disassemble, reseat the tire bead, and re-tighten the screws in a star pattern, ensuring even pressure.
  • Wheel Wobble: Check if the wheel is properly seated on the 12mm hex hub of your RC crawler. Ensure the wheel nut is tightened correctly. If the wobble persists, inspect the wheel for any damage or deformation.
  • Stripped Screw Heads: Avoid overtightening screws. Always use the correct size hex wrench. If a screw head is stripped, it may need to be drilled out and replaced.

9. User Tips

  • Compatibility: These wheels feature a standard 2.2" diameter and 12mm hex hub, making them compatible with most 1/10 scale RC crawlers that utilize these specifications. For specific models like the TRX4 Ford F-150 High Trail, verify that it uses 2.2" wheels and 12mm hex hubs for direct fitment.
  • Tire and Foam Selection: The performance of your beadlock wheels is greatly influenced by the tires and foam inserts you choose. For optimal crawling performance, consider softer compound tires and foam inserts that provide good sidewall support without being overly stiff. Experiment with different tire and foam combinations to find what works best for your specific terrain and driving style.
  • Weight Tuning: The brass components add significant unsprung weight, which is beneficial for crawling. If you find your setup too heavy or want to fine-tune weight distribution, consider lighter aluminum wheels for the front or rear, or adjust other components on your crawler.
