1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Camhipro 4K 8MP 30X Zoom PTZ IP Camera. 3. Setup Guide

3.1 App Installation (CamHiPro)

The CamHiPro app is a tool for managing IP cameras. It can be used to monitor the camera's image on the LAN and the Internet. The APP supports LAN search, manual ID input, Bluetooth, sound wave, and AP configuration for adding devices.

  1. Download the CamHiPro APP by scanning the QR codes below or searching for "CamHiPro" in your app store.

3.2 Physical Installation

The camera can be installed on the ceiling, side, wall, or pendant mount. It comes with a bracket for flexible mounting.

  1. Attach the wall or ceiling bracket to the desired mounting surface using appropriate screws.
  2. Secure the camera to the bracket.
  3. Ensure the camera is positioned to cover the desired surveillance area.

3.3 Adding the Camera to the App

There are several methods to add your camera to the CamHiPro app:

3.3.1 Add Device via Bluetooth

  1. Turn on Bluetooth on your mobile phone.
  2. Power on the camera. After hearing a prompt tone from the device, open the CamHiPro app.
  3. Click the "Add Device" button. The app will detect new devices and display them in the list.
  4. Select the detected camera and proceed with wireless configuration.

3.3.2 Add Device via QR Code

  1. Ensure your phone's Wi-Fi is connected and the camera is powered on and working (wait about 30 seconds after power-on).
  2. In the app, select "Add Device via QR Code".
  3. Scan the QR code located on the camera. Place the QR code 15-35cm in front of the camera lens.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to configure the wireless network and add the device.

3.3.3 Add Device via Access Point (AP)

The camera has a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot. This method allows for rapid device connection and configuration without complex network settings.

  1. On your mobile phone, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the camera's AP network (SSID starting with "IPCAM-"). The default password is "01234567".
  2. When prompted that the AP network cannot provide internet access, select "Do not switch networks" to maintain the connection.
  3. In the CamHiPro app, select "Add Device" and choose the AP method. The app will detect the camera.
  4. Proceed with wireless configuration, selecting your home Wi-Fi network and entering its password.

3.4 Initial Password Setup

For security, you must reset the login password for the device the first time you use it. Remember this password, as it is crucial for accessing your device.

4. Operation

4.1 Camera Interface Overview

The app's main interface provides access to various functions:

  • Monitoring: Hear audio from the camera.
  • Intercom: Initiate two-way voice communication.
  • Local Record: Record video directly to your phone.
  • Snapshot: Capture still images.
  • PTZ Control: Swipe on the live video to rotate the camera.
  • Mirror/Flip: Adjust image orientation (horizontal mirror, vertical flip).
  • Focus: Adjust focal length for clear imaging (Zoom In/Out, Focus Near/Far).
  • Preset Position: Set and recall specific camera views.
  • Volume Adjustment: Adjust microphone and speaker levels.
  • Image Adjustment: Modify brightness, contrast, saturation.
  • Night Vision Mode: Select Infrared, Full Color, or Intelligent mode.
  • Intelligent Tracking: Automatically follow detected subjects.
  • Settings: Access camera parameters.

4.2 Automatic Tracking (PTZ)

The camera supports automatic tracking of human and vehicle shapes.

  1. Set a tracking home position: Rotate the camera to the desired starting position. Enter '88' in the preset position input and click the "Setting" button.
  2. Turn on tracking: Enter '97' in the preset position input and click the "Transfer" button. The camera will automatically activate the tracking function.
  3. Turn off tracking: Enter '96' in the preset position input and click the "Setting" button. The camera will automatically disable the tracking function.

4.3 Night Vision Modes

The camera features 42U LED night vision fill lights with different grouping controls for various projection distances.

  • Close-range IR LED: When optical zoom is between 1-2.5X, the close-range IR LED lights up with a lighting angle of 100°-60°, illuminating closely monitored scenes.
  • Long-range IR LED: When optical zoom is between 2.6X-30X, the long-range IR LED lights up with a lighting angle of 45°-30°, illuminating long-distance scenes.
  • Full-color Night Vision: At night, when a person or car is detected, the white LED automatically turns on, enabling full-color night vision. This feature can be disabled.

4.4 Zoom Functionality

The camera supports 5x optical zoom and 6x digital zoom, for a total of 30x zoom.

4.5 Video Mask

The "video mask" function allows you to cover selected areas in the video frame with black to protect privacy. You can set up to four masking areas, adjust their size and position, and enable/disable them in the app settings.

4.6 Alarm Management and Notification

The camera supports various alarm triggers and actions:

  • Motion Detection: Triggers an alarm when movement is detected in the monitored area. Sensitivity and detection zones can be configured.
  • AI Functions: Supports Humanoid, Human Vehicle, and Human Pet recognition. Alarms are triggered when these shapes are detected.
  • Audible Alarm: The camera can issue a siren when an alarm is triggered.
  • Alarm Actions:
    • Push notifications to your mobile phone.
    • Capture images and save to TF card.
    • Record video to cloud storage or TF card.
    • Send alarm images to email.
    • Upload alarm images and videos to an FTP server.

4.7 Video and Audio Settings

  • Video Settings: Configure resolutions for main and sub-streams (up to 8MP) and video standard (50Hz/60Hz).
  • Audio Settings: Adjust input and output volume.

4.8 TF Card Recording

The camera supports continuous video recording to a TF card (up to 512GB). You can choose to record main stream (HD) or sub-stream (SD) and set the recording length per file.

4.9 Remote Video/Image Search and View

The app allows you to search and view local recordings, snapshots, and remote video files stored on the TF card. You can sort by size, length, and time, and download files to your mobile phone.

4.10 Multi-screen Display

The app supports simultaneous viewing of live broadcasts from multiple cameras.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Resetting the Camera

The camera can be reset to its factory default settings. This will erase all user-defined settings and configurations, requiring reconfiguration as if it were a new device.

  • Reboot Camera: Restarts the camera, reloading its operating system and applications while retaining all user-defined settings.
  • Reset Camera: Resets the camera to factory default settings. All network configurations, user accounts, video parameters, etc., will be erased.

5.2 Firmware Update

When a firmware update is available, you can manually upgrade it through the device information section in the app.

5.3 TF Card Formatting

You can format the TF card through the app settings. Please note that formatting will erase all data on the TF card.

5.4 Cleaning

To maintain optimal performance, periodically clean the camera lens and housing with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Connection Failed: If the device fails to connect during setup (e.g., scanning QR code or AP mode), try again. Ensure your phone's Wi-Fi is stable and the camera is powered on. If using AP mode, ensure you select "Do not switch networks" when prompted about internet access.
  • Lost Password: If you forget your device's login password, you will need to reset the camera to factory defaults, which will erase all settings.
  • Poor Night Vision: Ensure the camera's LEDs are clean and unobstructed. Check the night vision mode settings in the app (Infrared, Full Color, Intelligent). Uneven light distribution can be caused by improper LED grouping control, which this camera aims to mitigate with professional settings.
  • Automatic Tracking Issues: Verify that the tracking home position is correctly set (input '88' and "Setting"). Ensure tracking is enabled (input '97' and "Transfer").
  • No Alarm Notifications: Check that alarm management and notification settings are correctly configured in the app, including motion detection sensitivity, AI functions, and push notification permissions for the CamHiPro app on your phone.
