4. Setup and Connections
Before connecting, ensure the amplifier is turned off and unplugged from the power source.
Speaker Connection:
Connect your passive speakers to the "Left channel output" and "Right channel output" terminals on the rear panel. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -) for optimal sound quality. The amplifier supports speakers with an impedance of 4-8 ohms.
Audio Input Connection:
Connect your audio source (e.g., smartphone, CD player, TV) to the "AUDIO INPUT" RCA L/R ports on the rear panel using an appropriate RCA cable. Alternatively, you can use the 3.5mm AUX input jack on the front panel for convenience.
Power Connection:
Connect a 12V DC power adapter (not included) to the "DC 12V/5A" power socket on the rear panel. Ensure the power adapter meets the specified voltage and current requirements.
Initial Setup:
Before first use, remove any protective films from the device. Ensure all connections are secure before proceeding to power on the unit.
5. Operating Instructions
Power On/Off:
Flip the "POWER" switch on the front panel to the "ON" position to turn on the amplifier. The blue LED around the volume knob will illuminate. Flip the switch to "OFF" to power down the unit.
Volume Control:
Rotate the large "VOLUME" knob clockwise to increase the sound level and counter-clockwise to decrease it. Start with a low volume setting before playing audio to avoid sudden loud sounds.
Tone Adjustment:
Use the "BASS" knob to adjust the low-frequency response and the "TREBLE" knob to adjust the high-frequency response according to your preference.
Audio Input Selection:
The amplifier automatically uses the active input. If both RCA and AUX inputs are connected, ensure only one source is playing at a time to avoid signal interference.
After Use:
Turn off the amplifier using the power switch and store it in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your AK-280 amplifier, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
No Power:
Ensure the 12V DC power adapter is securely connected to both the amplifier and a working power outlet. Check the power switch on the front panel is in the "ON" position. Verify the power adapter is functioning correctly.
No Sound Output:
Check all audio input and speaker connections for proper seating and polarity. Ensure the volume knob is turned up. Confirm your audio source is playing and its volume is adequate. Test with a different audio source or speakers if possible.
Distorted Sound:
Reduce the volume level on both the amplifier and your audio source. Check that your speakers' impedance matches the amplifier's requirements (4-8 ohms). Ensure speaker wires are not frayed or shorting. Adjust Bass and Treble knobs to a neutral position or to your preference.
Intermittent Sound:
Check all cables (power, audio input, speaker) for loose connections. Ensure the amplifier is not overheating; provide adequate ventilation.
8. Maintenance
Proper maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your AK-280 amplifier:
Cleaning:
Wipe the exterior of the amplifier with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, aerosols, or solvents, as these may damage the finish or internal components. Ensure the device is unplugged before cleaning.
Ventilation:
Ensure the amplifier is placed in a well-ventilated area. Do not block the ventilation holes on the unit, as this can lead to overheating and potential damage.
Storage:
When not in use for extended periods, turn off and unplug the amplifier. Store it in a cool, dry place, away from extreme temperatures, humidity, and direct sunlight.
9. User Tips
- For the best sound experience, use high-quality audio cables and speakers that match the amplifier's impedance range.
- Experiment with the Bass and Treble controls to find the sound profile that best suits your music and listening environment.
