3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The device uses detachable 18650 lithium batteries. To install or replace batteries:

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
  2. Slide or unclip the cover to open it.
  3. Insert the 18650 batteries according to the polarity markings (+/-) inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.2 Charging the Device

To charge the device, use the provided Type-C charging cable and connect it to the DC 5V port on the side of the radio. Connect the other end to a compatible USB power adapter (DC 5V/2A for F70, DC 5V/1A for F69). The battery indicator on the screen will show charging status.

3.3 Inserting Storage Media

The device supports USB flash drives and dual TF (MicroSD) cards.

  • TF Card: Insert your TF card(s) into the TF1 or TF2 slots on the side of the device until it clicks into place.
  • USB Flash Drive: Insert your USB flash drive into the USB port on the side of the device.

3.4 Antenna

For optimal radio reception, extend the telescopic antenna fully. The antenna is 53cm long and can be rotated 360 degrees to find the best signal.

4. Basic Operation

4.1 Power On/Off

Press and hold the power button (usually marked with a red circle or power symbol) to turn the device on or off.

4.2 Volume Control

Adjust the volume using the rotary knob located on the top or side of the device.

4.3 UI Navigation and Settings

The device features a graphical user interface (GUI) with various icons for different functions. Use the navigation buttons (up, down, left, right, OK/Enter) and the numeric keypad to interact with the menu.

4.3.1 Language and Time Settings

To change the language or set the date and time:

  1. Navigate to the 'Tools' or 'Settings' icon on the main menu and select it.
  2. Look for 'Date & Time' or 'Language' options.
  3. Select your preferred language (e.g., English) or adjust the date and time as needed.

5. Radio Functions

The device supports FM (87.5-108MHz), AM (522-1620KHz), and SW (2.3-22MHz) radio bands.

5.1 Tuning and Reception

  1. Extend the telescopic antenna fully for best reception.
  2. From the main menu, select the 'Radio' or 'FM' icon.
  3. Use the tuning knob or the navigation buttons to scan for stations.
  4. Alternatively, use the numeric keypad for direct digital station selection. For example, to tune to 105.0 MHz, input '1050'.

6. Multimedia Playback

The device supports various media formats from USB drives and TF cards.

6.1 Music Playback

Supported audio formats include MP3, WAV, OGG, APE, FLAC. The device also supports lyrics display if an '.LRC' file with the same name as the audio file is present in the same directory.

  1. Insert your USB drive or TF card with music files.
  2. From the main menu, select the 'Music' icon.
  3. Browse and select your desired audio file to play.
  4. Use the navigation buttons for play/pause, next/previous track.

6.2 Video Playback

Supported video formats include H.264HP, RM, AVI, MKV, VOB, MOV, FLV, ASF, DAT, MP4, 3GP, MPG, MPEG. It supports full-format 720P high-definition video playback, and up to 1080P for RM, H264, Xvid, Mpeg2 formats.

  1. Insert your USB drive or TF card with video files.
  2. From the main menu, select the 'Video' icon.
  3. Browse and select your desired video file to play.

6.3 Image and E-book Viewing

Supported image formats include JPG, JPEG, BMP, GIF, PNG. Supported e-book formats include TXT, ANSI.

  1. Insert your USB drive or TF card with image or e-book files.
  2. From the main menu, select the 'Photo' or 'EBook' icon.
  3. Browse and select your desired file to view.

6.4 Headphone Use

Connect standard 3.5mm headphones to the headphone jack on the side of the device for private listening.

7. Bluetooth Connectivity

The device features Bluetooth version 5.3 for wireless audio streaming.

7.1 Pairing with a Bluetooth Device

  1. From the main menu, select the 'Bluetooth' icon.
  2. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your external device (e.g., smartphone, tablet).
  3. The radio will enter pairing mode and appear in your device's Bluetooth scan list (e.g., 'SANSUI F70' or 'SANSUI F69').
  4. Select the radio from your device's list to connect.

7.2 TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Function

If you have two SANSUI F70/F69 units, you can connect them wirelessly for a stereo audio experience.

8. Advanced Features

8.1 Scheduled Shutdown

The intelligent timing system allows you to set a scheduled shutdown time, which is useful for falling asleep to music or saving power.

  • Bluetooth connection issues: Ensure the radio is in pairing mode and your external device's Bluetooth is enabled and discoverable. Try restarting both devices.
  • Media files not playing: Check if the USB drive or TF card is inserted correctly. Verify that the media files are in a supported format (refer to Specifications).
  • Screen is blank or unresponsive: Try restarting the device. If the issue persists, ensure the battery is charged.

12. User Tips

  • For the best radio experience, always extend the antenna and experiment with its orientation.
  • When playing music or videos from TF cards or USB drives, ensure your media files are organized in folders for easier navigation.
  • Utilize the scheduled shutdown feature for convenience, especially if you enjoy listening to the radio or music before sleep.
  • Keep the firmware updated if new versions become available (check manufacturer's website for details, if applicable).
