Setup Guide
1. Unpacking
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all items listed in the product description are present.
2. Power Connection
The MQ22 Audio Interface can be powered via USB 3.0 or a 5V DC (Type-C) power input jack.
- USB 3.0: Connect the device to your computer using a USB 3.0 cable. This will also handle data transmission.
- 5V DC (Type-C): If using a separate power adapter, ensure it meets the following standards: Output voltage: 4.8V to 5.2V, Output current: 3A or higher.
Note: An inbox adaptor is not included. Please use a compatible USB power adapter and Type-C data cable.
3. Driver Installation
- Windows 10 and above: The device supports ASIO driver mode. The necessary driver can be installed from a USB flash drive (if provided) or downloaded from the manufacturer's website.
- Mac OS: The device is driver-free and should be recognized automatically by your system.
4. Connecting to Devices
The MQ22 is compatible with PC, MAC, iOS, and some Android devices. When connecting for data transmission, ensure the POWER SOURCE switch (12) on the rear panel is set to USB 3.0.

5. Input Connections (Microphones & Instruments)
The MQ22 features two combined MIC/LINE/XLR input connectors (INPUT 1L, INPUT 2R) on the front panel.
- Microphones: Connect XLR microphones directly. For condenser microphones requiring phantom power, activate the +48V Phantom Power Switch (3).
- Line-level devices: Connect devices like keyboards or preamps using 6.35mm TRS cables.
- Guitars/Basses: For direct connection of guitars or basses to INPUT 2R, press the High Impedance [HI-Z] switch button (6) to optimize the input impedance. This eliminates the need for a separate DI box.
Important: If connecting an electric guitar or bass directly, ensure the HI-Z switch is engaged. If using a condenser microphone, turn on the +48V phantom power switch.

6. Output Connections (Monitors & Headphones)
- Monitor Speakers: Connect your studio monitors to the MONITOR OUT/OUTPUT jacks (13) on the rear panel using 6.35mm TRS or TS cables.
- Headphones: Connect headphones to the PHONE jack (10) on the front panel. If using mini-plug headphones, a converter device may be required.

Operating Instructions
Familiarize yourself with the controls and indicators on your MQ22 Audio Interface.

- GAIN knob: Adjusts the input level (sensitivity) for the microphone or line input signal on the corresponding channel. Use this to set the signal to an optimal internal control level.
- POWER light: Illuminates when the device is powered on.
- Phantom power switch: Activates +48V phantom power for the XLR plug on the [MIC/LINE] input jack (1L). Turn this on when using condenser microphones that require phantom power.
Notice:
- Ensure this switch is OFF when connecting devices that do not support phantom power.
- Always turn this switch OFF before connecting or disconnecting cables from the channel to prevent noise and damage.
- Before turning the switch ON/OFF, ensure the channel fader (if applicable in your setup) is at its lowest setting.
- MIC/LINE/XLR input interface: Multi-function jack (1L, 2R) for connecting microphones, musical instruments, or external audio devices. Supports both XLR and 6.35mm PHONE type plugs.
- LOW CUT low-cut high-pass filter: When activated, this switch applies a high-pass filter to Input 1L, attenuating frequencies below 100Hz at a slope of 12dB/octave. This helps remove unwanted low-end rumble.
- High impedance [HI-Z] switch button: Press this switch when connecting a guitar or bass directly to Input 2R (TRS input) without a DI box. It optimizes the input impedance for direct connection and high-frequency fidelity.
- LOOP BACK: This function mixes the sound input from the sound card and the audio played on the computer into a stereo signal, which is then sent back to the computer. This is primarily used for internet broadcasting.
- MON switch: Similar to LOOP BACK, this mixes sound card input and computer playback for internet broadcasting.
- When the switch is OFF: Input signal to [MIC/LINE 1] is routed to [MONITOR OUT L]; Input signal to [MIC/LINE 2] is routed to [MONITOR OUT R].
- For the [PHONES] jack: Input signal to [MIC/LINE 1] is routed to the L channel; Input signal to [MIC/LINE 2] is routed to the R channel.
- MIX Knob: Adjusts the level balance between the signals from the [MIC/LINE 1/2] jacks and the application signal (e.g., playback from your computer). This control does not affect the signal sent to the computer.
- PHONE interface/headphone knob:
- Headphone knob: Adjusts the volume of the headphones connected to the [PHONE] jack.
- Headphone jack: Connects stereo headphones. Use a converter device if your headphones have mini plugs.
- OUT knob: Adjusts the signal level output to the [MONITOR OUT/OUTPUT] jacks.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the audio interface in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Cable Care: Always handle cables by the connector, not the wire. Avoid bending or crimping cables excessively.
- Firmware Updates: Check the official Depusheng website periodically for any available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Solution |

User Tips
- Gain Staging: Always set your input GAIN (1) to a level where the signal is strong but does not clip (distort). Most DAWs or recording software will have input meters to help you visualize this.
- Monitoring Latency: For real-time monitoring without delay, use the direct monitoring feature of the MQ22 by adjusting the MON switch (8) and MIX knob (9) to blend your input signal with computer playback.
- Loopback for Streaming: Utilize the LOOP BACK function (7) when live streaming to easily mix your microphone input with computer audio (e.g., music, game sounds) for your audience.
- Cable Quality: Invest in good quality, shielded cables to minimize interference and ensure the best audio signal integrity.
