4. Setup Guide

4.1 Charging the Mouse

  1. Locate the Type-C charging port on the front of the mouse.
  2. Connect the provided paracord Type-C cable to the mouse and the other end to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, wall adapter).
  3. The indicator light on the mouse will illuminate during charging. It will turn off when fully charged.

*Note: The M8 model features a 1000mAh battery, while the M8Se model has a 650mAh battery.

4.2 Connecting via 2.4G Wireless

  1. Open the receiver storage compartment on the underside of the mouse and remove the USB 2.4G receiver.
  2. Plug the USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
  3. Turn on the mouse using the power switch located on the bottom. The mouse should automatically connect.

4.3 Connecting via Bluetooth

  1. Turn on the mouse and switch it to Bluetooth mode (refer to the mode switch on the bottom of the mouse).
  2. On your device (laptop, tablet, etc.), go to Bluetooth settings and enable Bluetooth.
  3. Search for new devices. The mouse should appear as "LANGTU M8" or similar.
  4. Select the mouse to pair. Follow any on-screen prompts.

4.4 Connecting via Wired Mode

  1. Connect the Type-C end of the provided cable to the mouse and the USB-A end to your computer.
  2. The mouse will automatically switch to wired mode and begin charging.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Switching Connection Modes

The mouse features a mode switch on its underside. Use this switch to toggle between 2.4G wireless, Bluetooth, and wired modes as needed.

5.2 DPI Adjustment

The mouse has a dedicated DPI button, usually located behind the scroll wheel. Press this button to cycle through different DPI settings. The indicator light will change color to correspond with the current DPI level.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

The M8 mouse features a nano-coated ice skin texture (M8) or sunburst finish (M8Se) which is designed to be anti-fouling and easy to clean. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the mouse. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure no moisture enters the internal components.

6.2 Battery Care

The mouse is equipped with NTC temperature control technology to ensure battery safety and improve battery life. To prolong battery lifespan:

When not using the 2.4G wireless mode or when transporting the mouse, store the USB receiver in its dedicated compartment on the underside of the mouse to prevent loss and dust accumulation.

7.1 Mouse Not Responding

  • Check Power: Ensure the mouse is turned on and has sufficient battery charge.
