7. Troubleshooting
7.1 No Internet Connection
- Check SIM Card: Ensure the 4G SIM card is correctly inserted and activated with an active data plan.
- Signal Strength: Verify the 4G signal strength indicators on the router. If the signal is weak, try repositioning the router or adjusting the antennas.
- APN Settings: Access the router's web interface (Section 5.3) and check if the APN settings are correct for your mobile network provider.
- Restart Router: Power off the router, wait a few seconds, and then power it back on.
7.2 Slow Wi-Fi Speed
- Signal Strength: Ensure your connected device has good Wi-Fi signal strength. Move closer to the router if necessary.
- Interference: Avoid placing the router near other electronic devices that might cause interference (e.g., microwaves, cordless phones).
- Connected Devices: Too many devices connected simultaneously can reduce speed. Disconnect unused devices.
- Antenna Position: Adjust the external antennas for better signal propagation.
7.3 Cannot Connect to Wi-Fi Network
- Correct Password: Double-check that you are entering the correct Wi-Fi password (WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK default, found on the router's label).
- Router Status: Ensure the router is powered on and the Wi-Fi indicator light is active.
- Device Wi-Fi: Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled on your connecting device.
7.4 Resetting the Router
If you encounter persistent issues, you can perform a factory reset. Locate the reset button (often a small pinhole, refer to Figure 3). With the router powered on, use a paperclip or similar pointed object to press and hold the reset button for about 10 seconds until the lights flash. The router will restart with factory default settings.
8. User Tips
- Check Frequency Bands: Before purchasing or using the router in a new location, always verify that the router's supported frequency bands (B1, B3, B5, B7, B8, B20, B40) are compatible with your local mobile network operator. This is crucial for ensuring 4G connectivity. You can often find this information on your operator's website or by using online tools.
- Secure Your Network: It is highly recommended to change the default Wi-Fi SSID and password, as well as the router's admin login credentials, through the web interface (Section 5.3) to enhance security.
- Optimal Placement: Place the router in a central location, away from obstructions and other electronic devices, to maximize Wi-Fi coverage and signal strength.
9. Warranty and Support
For warranty information, technical support, or service inquiries, please refer to the documentation provided with your purchase or contact your retailer. Keep your proof of purchase for warranty claims.
