4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to assemble and prepare your SmallRig Suction Cup Mount:

  1. Inspect Components: Ensure all parts listed in the "Package Contents" section are present and undamaged.
  2. Attach Magic Arm: Screw the Ball-Head Magic Arm onto the 1/4"-20 locating screw on the suction cup base. Use the flat wrench to secure it firmly.
  3. Attach Action Camera Mount: Connect your action camera mount to the other end of the Magic Arm.
  4. Prepare Surface: Choose a clean, dry, and flat surface for mounting. Ensure the surface is free from dust, grease, or moisture.
  5. Position Suction Cup: Place the suction cup firmly against the prepared surface.
  6. Activate Suction: Press the air pump button repeatedly until the vacuum safety line disappears, indicating full suction.
  7. Attach Camera: Secure your action camera to the action camera mount.

5. Operating Instructions

Once the mount is securely attached and your camera is in place, you can adjust its position for optimal filming:

  1. Adjust Camera Angle: Loosen the knob on the Ball-Head Magic Arm to adjust the angle and orientation of your action camera.
  2. Secure Angle: Tighten the knob on the Magic Arm to lock the camera in the desired position.
  3. Monitoring Suction: Regularly check the vacuum safety line on the air pump button. If the red line becomes visible, pump the button again until it disappears to maintain secure suction.
  4. Removing the Mount: To remove the suction cup, gently pull the Release Tabs located on the edge of the suction cup. This will break the vacuum seal, allowing for easy detachment.

6. Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning: Keep the suction cup base and filter foam clean and free from dust or debris. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe surfaces.
  • Storage: When not in use, attach the included dust cover to the suction cup to prevent contamination and extend its lifespan. Store in a cool, dry place.
  • Inspection: Regularly inspect the suction cup for any signs of wear, cracks, or damage. Discontinue use if the suction cup or any component is compromised.
  • Surface Compatibility: Always ensure the mounting surface is clean, dry, and flat. Avoid rough, wet, uneven, or fragile surfaces.
  • Protective Films: Exercise caution when attaching to surfaces with protective films, as removal might damage the film.

7. Troubleshooting
