4. Operating the NVR

4.1 24/7 Video Recording

The NVR supports continuous 24/7 recording. With the pre-installed 2TB HDD, you can store a significant amount of footage. If cameras also have SD cards, video will be recorded on both the SD card and the NVR, providing redundancy.

4.2 Smart Playback and AI Detection

The NVR supports smart playback features, including human and vehicle detection, allowing you to quickly review relevant events. AI features are dependent on the connected camera models, as the NVR itself does not have built-in AI capabilities.

4.3 Remote Access and Alerts

Access your surveillance system remotely and receive instant alerts:

  • Mobile Access: Use the "Guard Viewer" app on your smartphone (iPhone OS, Android) for real-time alerts, remote viewing, and replaying critical moments.
  • PC Client: Use the "Guard Station" application on your computer (Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 7, macOS) for local access and management.

Configure motion detection schedules and receive alerts via email or app push notifications. The system can differentiate between people and vehicles to minimize false alarms.
