Brand: AMNVOLT

1. Introduction

The AMNVOLT V4 ATS MINI SI4732 Radio is a compact and versatile all-band DSP radio receiver designed for enthusiasts and casual listeners alike. Featuring an advanced ESP32-S3 main controller and SI4732 DSP chip, it supports FM, AM, LSB, and USB modes across a wide frequency range. This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of your radio.

2. Setup and Installation

2.1 Unpacking Inspection

Upon opening the package, carefully inspect all components to ensure they are complete and undamaged. If any items are missing or damaged, please contact customer support.

2.2 Component Installation

Your AMNVOLT V4 radio comes with two antenna options: a telescopic antenna and a circular loop antenna (Donut WB Antenna). Choose the appropriate antenna for your listening needs.

  1. Telescopic Antenna: Screw the telescopic antenna firmly into the SMA-KE (female) connector on the top of the radio. This antenna is generally suitable for most general reception.
  2. Circular Loop Antenna (Donut WB Antenna): Connect the circular loop antenna to the SMA-KE connector. This antenna is designed for enhanced reception, particularly for lower frequencies, and supports 360-degree rotation for better reception effect.

2.3 Charging

The radio is equipped with a TYPE-C charging port. Use a standard TYPE-C charger to charge the device. Important: Do not use fast chargers, as this may damage the device.

3. Operation

3.1 Power On/Off

To power on the device, press and hold the power button (usually integrated with the rotary knob) until the display illuminates. To power off, press and hold the same button until the display turns off.

3.2 Display and Controls

The radio features a 1.9-inch IPS color screen with a resolution of 170*320 pixels. The display shows frequency, operating mode, battery status, and other relevant information. The display brightness can be adjusted from 32 to 255 levels via the settings menu.

The main rotary knob is used for tuning, volume control, and navigating menus. Short presses and long presses may activate different functions depending on the context.

3.3 Operating Modes and Frequency Bands

The AMNVOLT V4 supports the following operating modes and frequency bands:

  • Operating Modes: FM, AM, LSB, USB (Note: Does not support aeronautical bands)
  • Receiving Bands: HF/SW/MW/VHF
  • Frequency Range: LW, MW, SW (150kHz - 30MHz), VHF (64-108MHz)

Use the controls to switch between modes and tune to desired frequencies. The Hi-Z circuit helps improve weak signal resolution.

3.4 Headphone Use

The radio features a 3.5mm 3-pin stereo audio jack. Plug in your headphones for private listening. The upgraded earphone amplifier circuit provides clear, high-volume audio. For FM reception, wired headphones can also function as an antenna. For optimal performance, use in environments with strong FM signals and sufficiently long headphone cables.

3.5 Firmware Updates

The AMNVOLT V4 radio supports firmware upgrades. This allows for continuous improvement and new features. Refer to the official product support page or documentation for instructions on how to perform firmware updates.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

Wipe off surface dust or stains promptly after use with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as these may damage the finish or internal components. Unplug the power supply when cleaning.

4.2 Storage

When not in use, store the product in a dry, well-ventilated location, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the device is powered off before storage.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Weak Wi-Fi Signal with CNC Metal Casing

If you have selected the CNC metal casing version, be aware that the aluminum alloy material provides some shielding against wireless electromagnetic signals. While this enhances interference resistance for radio reception, it may also weaken Wi-Fi signal strength for the internal ESP32-S3 module. This is a characteristic of the material and not a defect. If strong Wi-Fi connectivity is critical, consider using the ABS injection-molded plastic version or positioning the device in an area with better Wi-Fi coverage.

5.2 General Issues

  • No Power: Ensure the battery is charged. Check the charging cable and adapter.
  • Poor Reception: Adjust the antenna position and orientation. Try switching between the telescopic and circular loop antennas. Ensure you are within range of broadcast signals.
  • No Audio: Check the volume level. Ensure headphones are properly plugged in if used.
