Setup Instructions

SSD Installation (Optional):
If you plan to use an M.2 NVMe SSD with the docking station, follow these steps:

- Gently slide your M.2 NVMe SSD (compatible sizes: 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280) into the slot, ensuring the correct key alignment (B&M key or M key).
- Secure the SSD in place according to the enclosure's design (e.g., with a screw or clip).

Connect to Mac Mini:
- Place your Mac Mini M4/M4 Pro securely on top of the docking station, ensuring the curvature alignment is correct.
- Connect the integrated 4cm short cable from the docking station to an available USB-C port on your Mac Mini.

Power Connection:
- For stable operation and to power connected devices, connect a 5V power adapter (not included) to the 'IN 5V' port on the rear of the docking station.

Operating Instructions
Once the docking station is connected to your Mac Mini and powered, it is ready for use. No additional drivers are typically required for basic functionality.

USB Ports:
- Front: Two USB-A 3.2 Gen2 (10Gbps) ports for high-speed peripherals.
- Rear: Two USB-A 3.0 (5Gbps) ports, one USB-A 3.2 Gen2 (10Gbps) port, and two Type-C 3.2 Gen2 (10Gbps) ports for various devices.

Troubleshooting
- Device not recognized by Mac Mini:

- SSD not detected:
- Verify that the M.2 NVMe SSD is correctly installed and seated firmly in its slot. Check Disk Utility on your Mac Mini to see if the drive is recognized but unformatted. Ensure the SSD is compatible with NVMe protocol and supported sizes (2230/2242/2260/2280).
- Slow data transfer speeds:
- Ensure you are using USB 3.2 Gen2 compatible cables and devices to achieve 10Gbps speeds. Older USB 2.0 or 3.0 devices will operate at their respective maximum speeds. Check for other high-bandwidth devices that might be sharing the same USB bus.
- Connected devices are unstable or disconnect:
- Ensure the docking station is connected to an external 5V power supply, especially when multiple power-hungry devices are connected. Check for loose connections.
